What's the point in buying this when McAfee then want me to sign up for their auto renewal & want my bank details. Can't use this what a waste of money. Won't be buying again. I've looked at the cardboard packaging on mine & it's doesn't mention auto renewal & payment details required.

The supplier has advised the following for the McAfee Total Protection 1 Year, 1 Device - Auto Renewal:
Yes, it is required to enter your debit/credit card details in order to activate the product.
Once you have done this and activated you can opt out of the renewal in 12 months time.
How to OPT OUT:
1. Go to your account on the McAfee site.
2. Sign in using your email and password, social login, or a one-time passcode.
3. Click Subscriptions.
4. Click Cancel for the subscription you want to turn off Auto-Renewal and scroll down > Click Cancel Auto-Renewal.
5. After you click Turn off, you’ll get an email from McAfee confirming that your auto-renewal is deactivated.
6. After turning off Auto-Renewal, your subscription stays active until the end of your subscription period.

I HAVE PAID ABOUT 50 POUNDS, THE MCAFEE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS I COULD NOT USE, WASTED MY MONEY! HAD TO RENEW IN ANOTHER WAY BECAUSE THE ONE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS THEY WANT YOUR CARD DETAILS FOR AUTO RENEW. 39 POUNDS TO RENEW AND 9.99 WAS WASTED!!!

You can turn off auto renew but they will still contact you when your cover is coming up for renewal. Im due to renew and McAfee want me to pay the ridiculous price of 74.99 for a year!
Best to uninstall just before it runs out and buy a new one from Argos or you may get caught up in Mcafee auto renew at a much higher cost.
I checked the auto renew price, it is far too HIGH! Best to try another idea to renew McAfee. I need to look into it.
