Easy to install
Great product. Easy to install with the code they send. Only reason a removed a star is because McAfee now makes you submit your credit card information and enrolls you into automatic renewal, you have to manually unsubscribe as it won't activate without credit card details. Good product, though and easy to install.

Useless to me. The provider of the SW was not able to send to a Proton email account. No refund. Had to go to store and get a code on a piece of paper. If you have a Proton email account do not buy a download as it won’t arrive

Not such a simple replacement for previous version
Bought this to replace previous version or continue getting update's which were about to expire, nothing new about that but found it a bit confusing as, (A) I had paid the advertised price so as far as I was concerned the deal was done (B) I found it was nessesary to upload a current credit/debit card to instal it, the idea of this is so they can enroll you in their automatic renewal scheme once the current newly installed download expires next year, from the offset I did not like this idea but as it advertised this feature could be cancelled at any time I proceded with the installation, downloaded the product and attempted to install and run it, apart from the update of my subscription date I could find no evidence this new download was actually working, only after a week of being bombarded with messages on my phone did I discover the product had not actually activated and I was being blocked out of all contact with McAfee's help channel, I eventually found a way to contact McAfee and activate the product and then proceeded cancelling the auto renew feature based on the idea I will make my own mind up if I want to renew with this company nex year, I have since found numerous complaints from others detailing that they find the auto renew feature a step to far and also had difficulty cancelling this feature and also found it still activated despite cancelling it, I think McAfee will loose the goodwill of their previous customers with this auto renew feature.

I HAVE PAID ABOUT 50 POUNDS, THE MCAFEE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS I COULD NOT USE, WASTED MY MONEY! HAD TO RENEW IN ANOTHER WAY BECAUSE THE ONE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS THEY WANT YOUR CARD DETAILS FOR AUTO RENEW. 39 POUNDS TO RENEW AND 9.99 WAS WASTED!!!
Thanks for the info, however, I have already got McAfee security downloaded, I bought McAfee Total Protection from Argos a second time... because my Subscription is coming to an end... was hoping I could just type in the Product Key without having to put in my card details, do not want auto renew! But cannot be done, very annoying!

Thanks for the reply Chris, but if you do it manually, do you still have to put in your card details to auto renew ? Then later... stop auto renew ? I went to where it said Product Key, pressed it and then I typed it in... and my email, then up next was to type in card details, so do not really know how this manually think is suppose to work ? The other idea is to pay 39 pounds.

Only the McAfee® Safe Connect can support Windows 8.1 as it's now an unsupported version of Windows.

You can turn off auto renew but they will still contact you when your cover is coming up for renewal. Im due to renew and McAfee want me to pay the ridiculous price of 74.99 for a year!
Best to uninstall just before it runs out and buy a new one from Argos or you may get caught up in Mcafee auto renew at a much higher cost.
I checked the auto renew price, it is far too HIGH! Best to try another idea to renew McAfee. I need to look into it.
