Can be a real pain to install,and it's not always clear if you have installed it. never had a trouble free installation,but it does it's job when installed. Would never pay the online mcafee renewal price though.They try to get you on auto renewal with stealth messages before installing.

I HAVE PAID ABOUT 50 POUNDS, THE MCAFEE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS I COULD NOT USE, WASTED MY MONEY! HAD TO RENEW IN ANOTHER WAY BECAUSE THE ONE I BOUGHT FROM ARGOS THEY WANT YOUR CARD DETAILS FOR AUTO RENEW. 39 POUNDS TO RENEW AND 9.99 WAS WASTED!!!
Thanks for the info, however, I have already got McAfee security downloaded, I bought McAfee Total Protection from Argos a second time... because my Subscription is coming to an end... was hoping I could just type in the Product Key without having to put in my card details, do not want auto renew! But cannot be done, very annoying!

Thanks for the reply Chris, but if you do it manually, do you still have to put in your card details to auto renew ? Then later... stop auto renew ? I went to where it said Product Key, pressed it and then I typed it in... and my email, then up next was to type in card details, so do not really know how this manually think is suppose to work ? The other idea is to pay 39 pounds.

Only the McAfee® Safe Connect can support Windows 8.1 as it's now an unsupported version of Windows.

You can turn off auto renew but they will still contact you when your cover is coming up for renewal. Im due to renew and McAfee want me to pay the ridiculous price of 74.99 for a year!
Best to uninstall just before it runs out and buy a new one from Argos or you may get caught up in Mcafee auto renew at a much higher cost.
I checked the auto renew price, it is far too HIGH! Best to try another idea to renew McAfee. I need to look into it.
