About this product

This autumn/winter Green Manure Mix of vetch and cereal rye enriches soil naturally by fixing nitrogen and adding organic matter. Hardy and fast-growing, it creates a winter cover that suppresses weeds and protects beds. Sow outdoors in September or October, overwinter the crop and dig it in during April or May just before flowering; once incorporated, the plants release nutrients, improve soil texture and provide bio-fumigant benefits from the mustard family, helping reduce soil-borne diseases.
