About this product

Photinia 'Red Robin' is an evergreen shrub prized for its dramatic seasonal colour. Bright red young leaves appear in spring and gradually mature to glossy green, with new red shoots encouraged by summer pruning. Available as a bush or trained as shaped standards, it suits hedging, screening, borders or as a specimen in a container. Thrives in full sun or part shade in moist, well-drained soils and is hardy to H4 (-10 to -5°C); once established it is drought tolerant and low maintenance. Regular pruning promotes fresh red growth; keep well watered and fed while establishing. Grows approximately 1500–2000 mm tall and is resistant to many common pests and diseases, making it a reliable choice for UK gardens.
