The Cooks Professional 28cm Shallow Cast Iron Casserole is made for generous family meals, batch cooking and long, slow cooks, with a spacious 4.3L capacity that's ideal for everything from Sunday roasts and hearty chilli to slow-cooked lamb. Crafted from solid cast iron, it offers excellent heat retention and even heat distribution, while the wide, shallow base provides a large cooking surface for achieving a good sear before simmering, braising or slow cooking. Suitable for use on all hob types, including induction, as well as in the oven and under the grill, it is versatile enough to handle everything from searing and simmering to baking and roasting. The tight-fitting, self-basting lid helps lock in steam and moisture, circulating it back through your food to keep meat tender and dishes full of flavour. Inside, the smooth vitreous enamel coating is free from PFAS, PFOA and PTFE, providing a hygienic, non-reactive surface that won't absorb flavours or odours. Extra-generous handles provide a secure grip when lifting and carrying, while the enamel interior makes cleaning quick and easy.
