The Epson Expression Photo XP-970 is designed for anyone who wants to print stunning photos up to A3 size without a bulky printer taking over your workspace. It uses 6-colour Claria Photo HD Inks to deliver superior, glossy photographs with rich detail and long-lasting colours that won't fade, making it ideal for preserving family memories or producing portfolio-quality prints at home. You get printing, scanning and copying in one compact machine, and it prints at 28ppm for black and colour documents, handling everyday printing as well as special photo projects.
Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Ethernet give you plenty of ways to connect your devices, and you can print directly from your smartphone or tablet using the Epson iPrint app or Apple AirPrint. The 10.9cm touchscreen makes navigation straightforward, and the 100-sheet paper capacity means less frequent refilling. It prints borderless photos, scans and copies up to A4, and includes manual double-sided printing for A4 documents. The printer comes with cartridges, power cord, and warranty card included, so you can get started straight away.

Works very well lots of features easy to intstall only criticism is not as solidly built as previous Epson printers but then everything is the same quality nowadays and the price hasn’t really gone up much ?

A neat sized colour photo printer for a good price
A neat sized colour photo printer for a good price. Setup was slightly difficult because even though the hardware was detected wirelessly a connection couldn't be made to set up the print queue. I didn't want to use the ethernet connection, which I am sure would have worked first time, so I needed to go to the Epson site and use the driver only download. Prints seem great quality and print speed is fine. For an A3 printer it's a nice neat size.

I’ve had this printer Epson 970 just over a month and it’s excellent! Print quality is fantastic for an home printer and very easy to set up!

OK but not the best
I dont print many A3 sizes so wanted a cheaper printer. My old HP gave up and was mega expensive on Ink so hopefully i can use 3rd party ink in this one. One minus is you feed A3 sheets one at a time in the rear feeder .

Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Wireless Inkjet
Bought this printer for an emergency use. I was shocked when opened the box. The printer has lots of marks or scratches and it looks like it it had been used - see pic attached. Moreover, i arrived at the store 10 mins before the actual collection time at 3PM. But it is showing it is unavailable for the pick up as the item had not been transferred. So I have to stay in store for an hour for the collection which is not a good experience for me.

Fabulous around printer
Bought this last month after XP960 was repaired by Epson and never worked since!! Very similar printer, just different software and screen. Excellent for photos and for A3.

I love this printer
I brought this printer for my print business as it was an affordable option to the Epson 8550 which i still want to get. The setup is easy enough however there is a lot of different options. Make sure to check and change the paper you are using from the printer itself. 1 tip, the printing side goes face down from the front trays

The supplier has advised the following for the Epson Expression Photo XP-970 Wireless Inkjet Printer:
"The bundled “starter” inks are lower capacity. Some ink is used during initial printer priming/setup. They are not rated with official page yields by Epson".
They add the following info:
"Initial cartridges are designed for reliable printer setup. After setup, only the remaining ink is available for printing".

The Epson Expression Photo XP-970 cannot reliably print on PVC ID cards. While it handles standard paper types and photo media, it lacks both the necessary tray hardware and software support for PVC card printing. For ID card production, a dedicated Epson ID card-capable printer (e.g., SureColor P-series or supported Artisan models) is required.
