I love this printer
I brought this printer for my print business as it was an affordable option to the Epson 8550 which i still want to get. The setup is easy enough however there is a lot of different options. Make sure to check and change the paper you are using from the printer itself. 1 tip, the printing side goes face down from the front trays

Easy set up
My old A4 Canon printer packed up and I replaced it with a A3 Epson printer. So far I am very pleased with my purchase.

Must be the best printer I've ever had,and I've had a few over the years. Great features and functions in all sizes. Like 4x6 A4 and A3 Very happy with print quality as a photo printer Overall very happy and impressed with it. Cost is more than a bog standard everyday printer but worth the extra money for a great printer

What I wanted
I had the previous version but unfortunately the print head got to end of life and couldn’t be replaced. Not quite as robust as the previous model but features very much the same. Have used a couple of times and okay.

Superb printer!
This is my second XP-970. The first one stopped pulling paper through after nearly 6 years of use. I brought the last one from Epson for the same price I paid for this one at Argos!

EPSON XP-970 Printer
Difficult machine to obtain prints from. It takes 4.5 minutes to produce a print, after number of clicks and a head cleaning routine. Closing it down on automatic takes a very long time and sometimes about 10 minutes or more. Not as good as the RX-520 that I bought in 2007 and had very little problems with, which produced excellent printed documents and photographs and was replaced because a part broke and was unreplaceable. I will persevere with the XP-970 for a week or two but if there is no improvement I will return to Argos and replace it with a Brother printer.
