I purchased my new steam generator iron about a month ago and it has truly taken the hard work out of ironing. It heats up very quickly and the steam pressure is perfect and helps remove creases from garments. It's very lightweight in comparison with my last one and also more compact, so it's easy to store away.

Worst iron ever!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS IRON!!! it is not fit for purpose. 😡 The wire at the top of the iron does not tilt when you are ironing so it makes it impossible to iron with! I’ve had to try and bend it to be able to use it at all. Argos said I could not change it as had used it and Tefal said as a good will jester they would give me a % off if I bought another iron from them. Which I’m obviously not going to buy any Tefal product again!!!!

Does exactly what I wanted !!
I bought this iron three weeks ago, after my Morphy Richards iron developed a leak and the iron itself started to loose its coating (it was sticking to the clothes) I was pleasantly with this new Tefal replacement, its so easy and comfortable to use.

Hi Wendy, we do not recommend to use any water other than untreated tap water in the iron. If you know you live in a hard water area the untreated tap water can be mixed 50/50 with either distilled or demineralised water but there needs to be at least a 50% concentration of untreated tap water used in order for the steam function to work properly. Our irons are specifically made to use untreated tap water. Do not use pure demineralised water, water from clothes dryers, scented or softened water, rain water, filtered, bottled or boiled water, water from refrigerators, batteries or air conditioners, pure distilled water or rain water as these may damage the iron. These types of water contain organic waste, mineral elements that become concentrated when heated and cause spitting, brown staining, leaking or premature wear on your iron.

If you want to use a UK or European electrical product in the USA you need a step-down transformer.
We can advise that from the base to the tip is 23cm and the width at the widest part of the soleplate is 12cm

You are able to use this product in the USA as long as a step-down transformer is used.
When you use the 'synthetic' or 'wool' settings, the temperature will decrease and no steam is required. Thus there is no need to press the steam trigger.
