Regarding the Adam Burlington Electric Fire Suite - Oak and Charcoal Grey. When on the flame effect setting the electric fire will make a low humming noise due to the motor turning to create the flame effect. This should not be loud enough to be heard over a television for example but in a silent room will be a noticeable background noise.

When on the heat this will make a slightly louder more whirring type noise with the air/heat being pushed out of the fan.
