Great, especially for monitoring Ur outdoors
Great bright light and resolution. As long as nobody can switch it of u would have great the view what u will set the cam on. U need good internet connection with it. It makes screen shots of what it saw and places it on the cam entering the live view screen. There were some problems but it was connected with it being disconnected from the power.

Two way communication failure

We bought this for our son, we already have 2 fitted at home. I find them easy to install, they work well and the app makes them exceptionally easy to operate.

Inexpensive CCTV
So, didn't want to pay a fortune to have some extra security on the driveway. This little camera,so far, fits the bill. Easy to install and connect to smartphone. Multiple phones can be connected. Picture is very reasonable day and night. Led light is bright enough and, handily, can be operated from the app. Haven't used the voice or siren function yet. One thing to note, this camera is powered by usb lead and adapter. You can't ,as I thought, connect straight to mains without the adapter. Yale support were very helpful in this respect. Excellent bit of kit at the price.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Yale Indoor/Outdoor WiFi Camera with Light & Siren: ''Please see below:
1. "Power and light and detection, What voltage and amps does the unit take if connected through a USB as I would like to use a battery back up with usb connection to power this device'' – 5v 2amp.
2. ''I want the option of this device being discreet so the light does not come on when motion is detected is this possible and the night vision of the camera still good quality'' - Yes to both.
3. ''can it detect movement through a screen and activate a remote alarm on the app on my phone only?'' No all that is available is when motion is detected a notification is sent to the user, as push notification.''

Yes, this camera works with the Yale View app, which is available on both Android and Apple phones. It is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant - Yale UK.

The Yale Indoor/Outdoor WiFi Camera with Light & Siren has a 90 degree viewing angle but does not move up and down or side to side. There is a specific pan/tilt Yale Security camera and whilst it does have a siren, it does not have the light.
