About this product
These Duracell Optimum AAs are built for high-end devices that need serious power - think digital cameras, gaming controllers, or tech you rely on daily. They deliver up to 200% extra life or extra power compared to standard alkaline batteries, so your gear keeps running at peak performance for way longer between changes. Pack of 12 means you have got plenty stocked up for all your devices. The 1.5V alkaline cells use clever chemistry optimised for modern electronics that drain batteries fast.
Longer run time in cameras and controllers means you are switching batteries far less often and missing fewer moments. The innovative book-style pack keeps each cell secure during storage with zero plastic packaging that is designed for complete recycling. Reliable output stays consistent whether you are powering demanding digital equipment or everyday household gadgets, and the manufacturers 1 year guarantee gives you confidence they will stay fresh until you need them.

Good service
The batteries were to be used with another product, which sadly had to be returned. No fault of Argos. The batteries worked well. I have returned the other item. I have only given 4 stars purely because I had to return the item. However, I must say the collection, return and refund of the product were dealt with very easily and efficiently. Very impressed.

I can confirm yes they will power a Blink doorbell. Theyre the only Alkalines that will provide enough current to do so, all other Alkalines will effectively give too little and the camera wont allow it.
I get a out 4.5 months use from a pair of a front door camera - standard Blink Outdoor camera over the front door.
Massively cheaper than Lithium batteries, even though they dont last as long - I get about 6-8 months from a pair of lithium in the same camera.
Hi Curious,
Blink devices use AA lithium batteries. These are non rechargeable batteries, but it can also work on alkaline batteries as well as rechargeable Li ion batteries. As the latter two aren't compatible with Blinks, they can damage your security camera in the long run. For these reasons I'd advise using AA lithium batteries.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Terry
Our supplier says "Milliampere-hour (mAh) is a measure of the energy stored in a battery. We do not advertise the mAh capacity of our alkaline batteries because it does not tell you how long the batteries will last and so is misleading. Actual delivered capacity is highly dependent on:
- Drain rate (load)
- Operating temperature.
- Cutoff voltage."
Thanks for using Q & A
Hello Jim,
I can confirm that this would depend on the usage and the controller itself. You could expect these batteries to last up to 60 hours.
I hope this helps
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello there,
Batteries don't have an AMP rating. As long as the device is able to use the AA size and requires a 1.5volt or multiple off, depend on the amount of batteries needed, then these are able to be used.
Thanks for using Q&A.
