"We can confirm that the maximum the clamp will open is 10cm."

There seems to be 2 answers, one that the manufacturer max is 10 cm and the other up to 17 cm. Please could you clarify as it is a crucial factor for us.

Door frame requires permanent architrave - min 1.5cm wide

Our supplier says "We do not recommend fitting to anything other than a door frame that complies with the measurements given in the instructions.
Please kindly note that if fitted to a beam it could cause a safety issue as it has not been tested as safe to use in this way"
