Good gas hob, perfect for our kitchen
We bought this a month ago to replace the old hob that came with the house we're moving in and that was not working anymore. The burners work really well and the hob is a little larger than the old one - we had to cut some space in the bench to make it fit, but it was worth it. The extra space allows for the pans and casseroles to be put over it without feeling that they are fighting for their space.

Really pleased with the gas hob, went for a budget option and it is just perfect! Cannot fault Argos for the purchase and delivery it arrived on time and the delivery driver put it in the house for me.

Had about 6 months. Seems good and reliable. Actually quite easy to clean because the burners come apart and go back together easily. Fancier hobs are available but I'm very happy! Also matches my other black appliances.

Sadly no, our fitters will not cut the worktop. For any integrated appliance or any type of cooker, we can install your new product and check it's working as part of this service. We will also disconnect and take away your old appliance, along with any packaging, and recycle it.

The supplier has advised the following for the Bush BSH60BFCHB Gas Hob - Black:
This does have a gas safety shut off valve, specifically: "This model has a flame safety device on it. If the flame is lit and then gets blown out by a draught, then the gas would not continue pouring through at full rate. It would reduce to an amount that could naturally be disbursed in the room that it is installed in."

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Bush BSH60BFCHB Gas Hob - Black: It is supplied with a 3 pin power cable, but this only powers the ignition as it is a Gas hob.
This must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

The supplier has advised the following for the Bush BSH60BFCHB Gas Hob - Black:
"I can confirm that the gas feed is in the back right corner, angled diagonally downward and within the area covered by the top facia (not sticking out)."
They add the following points too: "The connection should be made using a rubber gas hose of standard type which is available in different lengths so a degree of flexibility in positioning can be accommodated. Fitting and commissioning (location suitability assessment and connection test) must be done by a Gas-Safe registered engineer for safety reasons."

Having contacted customer services by telephone and online, who confirmed the hob could be installed to run on LPG, I ordered the hob complete with installation. On trying to arranging an installation date I was advised by their engineers that they were not LPG trained. What a complete waste of time as incorrect information was given to me on 2 occasions. Argos did refund me quickly though.
