About this product
Drying a wriggly dog or anxious cat after bath time can become a two-person job when you need one hand for the dryer and another to calm them. This Wahl dog and cat hair dryer fits into the robust stand so your hands stay free to hold or groom while they dry. The adjustable stand provides variable airflow angles with weighted, rubberised feet for stability. Suitable for dogs and cats, the 1800w dryer includes 3 power and heat settings at 40, 70 and 90 degrees plus a cool shot option.
The 4m cable gives you room to move around without constant repositioning, which helps when drying larger dogs or nervous pets that shift about. The concentrator nozzle directs air exactly where you need it for faster drying and better control. The easy clean filter keeps maintenance straightforward between grooming sessions. The dryer can be used without the stand when you need portability or prefer handheld control for spot drying.
- Suitable for Dogs and cats.
- Accessories include: Adjustable stand, concentrator nozzle.
- Manufacturer's 2 year guarantee.

Wahl Dog and Cat Hairdryer
Wahl Dog and Cat Hair Dryer. Do not believe the positive reviews on this website. Save your time and money. I bought this hair dryer after reading all the positive reviews and that the hair dryer is very powerful. The hair dryer is far from powerful and would have taken me at least 2 hours or so to dry my wet Labrador. Ended up having to go to a mobile grooming kiosk instead and taking the hair dryer back to store for a full refund.

Excellent pet hair dryer
Bought this a few weeks ago after previous one broke, the stand it comes with is great so you can brush at the same time. It's really quiet compared to my previous dryer and the different temperature selections is great, very comfortable if you want to use it in hand rather that with the stand.

This is excellent!
Much quieter than my normal hairdryer (which spooked our rescue dog) and it's great to be able to use it hands free - makes the grooming process so much easier and less stressful for the dog.

Dog hairdryer
Bought a few weeks ago. I have a small fidgety dog. The hands free is so helpful, I get 2 hands on the dog to stop him squirming. The low temperature is perfect and it dries him quickly. I wish I'd got it sooner

Weak
Immediately blew up, not good in a grooming situation.

Great idea - my grumpy dog loves it
I have a very grumpy older dog - baths are a big no usually. He loved just lying g down next to the hairdryer on the stand with no human holding it . It also meant he could get dried well , more than he usually tolerates.

Hello Vic,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Wahl Dog And Cat Hair Dryer And Stand: Yes, this can be used with an extension lead.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi TINA,
The cost of running the Wahl Pet hair Dryer and Stand per hour depends on the power setting you choose. we can estimate the cost per hour for each setting as follows:
40 degrees: This setting uses about 44.4% of the maximum power, which is 1800W1. Therefore, the power consumption is about 799.2W. The cost per hour is then 799.2W x 27p / 1000W = 21.58p.
70 degrees: This setting uses about 77.8% of the maximum power, which is 1800W1. Therefore, the power consumption is about 1400.4W. The cost per hour is then 1400.4W x 27p / 1000W = 37.81p.
90 degrees: This setting uses the maximum power of 1800W1. The cost per hour is then 1800W x 27p / 1000W = 48.6p.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Jc, the noise level of our Wahl Pet Hair Dryer and Stand is 86 decibels. I hope this helps and thank you for using Argos Q & A.
Ive had one of these for years, just about to get another. Having to use my hairdryer until I can shop. I can assure you the dog hairdryer is much better as designed specially for animals, so easier to handle when drying dog than a dryer for humans
Hi LivB,
It would depend on the hair dryer that you're comparing it to. The key selling feature is the design which allows the dryer to fit securely into the uniquely designed stand allowing the users hands to remain free to hold or groom the pet.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A.
Hi Richard, I can confirm you can take the dryer out of the stand. I hope this helps and thank you for using Argos Q & A.
