Great supplementary hob
This is a really compact but versatile product. It supplements our gas on glass hob perfectly and with a converter plate is the ideal way of using the pressure cooker away from the actual kitchen. It's fast, economical and very, very easy to clean.

Fantastic addition to a wee kitchen.
I bought this a few months ago and I think it is fantastic. It's great for making soup (which I don't like to use my gas hob for as there's not much space in my small kitchen). It's very responsive and heats a large pan of soup very quickly, and maintains a consistent heat. I love the fact it is so portable as well. Overall it has been great value for money.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Tefal IH201840 Induction Hob - Black: As the max pan size is 26cm, the weight with contents of a stew pot would be up to 15Kg.

As with an process to make caramel you should be in attendance and can remove from the heat or adjust the heat to prevent the caramel from burning.''

It is suitable for pans with a diameter from 12 to 26 cm. its 9 power levels and 6 cooking functions
Hi, when you press the start button, a beep sounds and the display shows 00. Then you can choose the desired mode. The hob automatically switches-off after 5 minutes without any action. Hi, the suitable cooking pots for this pan are: double bottom pots made of iron series (enamel, cast iron or stainless steel) or magnetic induction materials with flat bottom diameter of over 12 cm and less than 24 cm.
We can advise that the ring size is approximately 19cm.

Hi Ken,
Our supplier has advised the following regarding the Tefal IH201840 Induction Hob - Black.
The product is design for house hold mains and current supply. We do know of consumers who have fitted them into Camper Vans but with DC to AC converter systems that are spec’d to cover the max current and voltage required. There are on the camping market low wattage induction hobs, ours is not a low wattage hob.
