Bought this but returned soon afterwards. Not sure why as others similar designs don't do this, but the light only seems to shine upwards and doesn't necessarily brighten the room. But biggest problem is that the bottom stand is not sturdy enough so the whole thing wobbles, and the main pole does not line up straight.

Beautiful lamp.
Easy to put together. I managed to do it by myself. Looks great in my living room. Only thing I'm not keen on is the foot switch. I need to stick it to the side of my cabinet within easy reach so I don't have to lean over the arm of the sofa to switch it on. But other than that, I like it.

I dont see why not really. The dimmer control is built into the smart bulb so it shouldnt matter that the lamp itself doesnt have dimming capabilities.

No unfortunately not
The 60w Max refers to the power consumption of a tungsten filament or Halogen lamp and the restriction is based on the heat output of the bulb, not the light or whether it will function correctly or not.
Exceeding the 60W rating will not stop the light working - it will just get too hot and potentially melt the shade or cause worst case could result in a fire.
A 10.8W LED bulb draws 10.8 watts, gives the same amount of light as an old style 75 watt bulb but with only 10.8 watts of heat

The Home Torchiere Uplighter Floor Lamp requires a 10W LED or 60W halogen or less bulb. The E27ES 10.8W 75W they you purchased along side will require to much power for them to operate, this will cause the bulb to either not light up or incorrectly power.
