JBL Live 780NC Over?Ear Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones - Green

Great quality sound!

I bought these a few weeks ago for my partner. They are very decent pair of headphones. They arrive in their own box with a JBL bag. The noise cancelling is great, I would say the downside is that often you can hear music playing outside so noise cancelling for other people isn’t the best. That being said, they are a seriously good pair of headphones for the cost. The sound quality is great also. Battery levels are great.

Mind Blown

I bought these just over a week ago. I will start with the cons first. When they arrived they were well packed in the postage packaging, once taken out of the packaging the product box was dented and the security sticker looked like it had been tampered with, took the sticker off and the box opened way to easily, thought I had been sent a duff product. In the box came the headphones, USB C to 3.5mm jack, a bag to carry the headphones and USC C to 3.5mm jack cable. No USB C charging cable, not a problem as I am sure every household will have them in abundance. Checked the headphones over and they looked immaculate. The headphones were 50% charged out of the box and connected to my phone in under 20 seconds, however, the 50% charge was annoying as I had downloaded the JBL app and there was an update but needed over 50% charge to complete, I had to charge the headphones for an hour to get them to 100% before updating which took about 2 minutes. Now the pros. I have been using other Bluetooth headphones, KVIDIO (Amazon cheap special), JLAB JBUD ANC LUX, JLAB Rewind 2 and recently purchased some wired headphones Ortizan Wired Studio to go with my Mechen M30 MP3 player which does not have Bluetooth, as I am trying to move away from Bluetooth headphones. The JBL Live 780 NC far exceeds the afore mentioned headphones. I regularly walk my dogs twice a day so I have been able to put these through the ANC test and boy do they do just that, you cannot hear a thing going past you, living in the sticks the roads do not have pavements so when a car goes past you they are pretty much 12" away and you cannot hear them. Tried without ANC and you can hear the traffic approaching from over 100 metres away. The USB C to 3.5mm jack cable has been a godsend as I can hook it up to my MP3 player, I tried the headphone socket and there was no sound, I had to still turn the headphones on despite using a wire, this still confuses me but not a major issue. So using the headphones socket on my MP3 player, you could just about hear the music at full volume on the MP3 player. This stumped me for 2 days, then I decided to stick the jack in the Aux out and that fixed that problem, I had to use the volume button on the headphones as the MP3 player volume would not work. After a shaky start, I will only be buying JBL moving forward. What a great set of headphones.

Good for work and free time, but has one issue

I really like these headphones. I use them everyday for my work and also for relaxing. They are very comfortable to wear for long hours and easy to connect. The battery is very good and lasts a long time. But sometimes, they make a very loud and strange noise that is uncomfortable for my ears. Also, I think the noise cancellation could be a little bit better, especially in loud rooms. But overall, they are good for the price.

Powerful sound, but a bit warm in summer

I have been really impressed with the JBL Live 780NC headphones. The battery life is excellent and lasts a very long time, which makes them great for daily use, travelling or taking them around without constantly worrying about charging them. The sound is powerful, full and enjoyable, especially if you like a strong and energetic audio experience. I also really like the smart pause feature: when I move the headphones away from my ears, the music stops automatically, which is very convenient. They feel solid and practical, and I find them easy to carry and use in different situations. The only real downsides for me are comfort-related. They feel a little stiff when opening them to put them on, and during summer the large ear cushions can make the area around the ears sweat quite a lot. They are not the coolest headphones to wear in hot weather. Apart from that, I think they are excellent headphones: strong sound, very long battery life, useful smart features and a reliable everyday design.

Perfect fit and sound

I was looking for a pair of headphones to use during my long editing hours. The one I have (JBL too) are great but hurt my ears after a few hours. These are perfect. The sound is clear, bass are deep and the comfort is super. Noise reduction works perfectly. Gestures could be more precise but I usually use laptop controls so I don't care too much.

Impressive audio quality!

I’ve been using these headphones for a while now, and the first thing I noticed was the clarity of the sound. You can truly hear every single detail of the music with incredible crispness. The materials also feel very solid and high-quality once you hold them. The design is wonderful—elegant and super modern. I use them in every context. Highly recommended!

Excellent quality

Bought this as a gift for my son’s birthday and he loves them. They are a perfect fit so really comfortable. He likes how they automatically turn off when he pushes one side off his ear. He loves how it changes from the ambient setting to noise cancelling setting. Would recommend.

Great sound and great battery

The battery life is definitely the strongest feature of these headphones. JBL claims up to 80 hours of battery life, and with daily use I was able to get around 50 real-world hours consistently, which is still an excellent result. The noise cancellation works very well, and the smart sensors are genuinely useful: playback automatically pauses when you move the headphones away from your ears or take them off, and it resumes as soon as you put them back on. They are very lightweight and comfortable, to the point that you can wear them for many hours without experiencing any ear discomfort. The sound quality is excellent, especially considering the price range, which sits in the mid-to-high segment. The AUX cable is also very useful, especially on airplanes, as it allows you to use these headphones instead of the ones provided by the airline. On top of that, the JBL app lets you customize various features and settings, taking the overall experience to a noticeably higher level.

Excellent value for money

It exceeded my expectations. It completely delivers on everything it promises: it's ergonomic, comfortable, and fits perfectly. The biggest highlight is definitely the noise cancellation, which blocks out the outside world incredibly well. The sound quality is crisp and the battery life is amazing, lasting for days with moderate use. Great value for money.
