Nice looking shade
I do like the look of this shade and it can be very bright or muted, dependent on the bulb. However, please note that the glass shade is not fixed, simply resting on the collar, so one has to adjust it get it to sit evenly. Our electrician fitted it and warned me saying it was ‘loose’ and an unusual fitting. It’s nice looking, however and a modern style

Lovely little light fitting
I bought this for my utility room. It’s smaller than I expected but it looks nice in a small space. If you have a decent sized room it probably wouldn’t be big enough. Shade is glass and for the price it’s good value. Only downside is that the top of the shade is curved and it takes a few attempts to get it to sit straight against the backing plate as it doesn’t screw completely tight.

After contacting our suppliers they have advised for the Argos Home Mirin Flush to Ceiling Light - Chrome.
As this light is rated IP20 it is not really suitable for kitchen areas where there is a higher chance of increased humidity. I would recommend a light rated at least IP44 for a kitchen.
