Kind of does the job but not excited about it.
Only used pepper one so far as we needed to replace an old one and couldn't buy separately. The mill is a bit small in the hand and the grind is very fine so feel like we are using ground white pepper. Best thing going for it is that it is clear, which is what we wanted.

These are most useless salt and pepper grinders I have ever owned and were useless from the very first use. Could not recommend to anyone.
