Worth the effort eventually
The end product once built is as good as expected, but there's always a but.If you're not a budding DIY person the instructions aren't easy to follow. The individual pieces don't have identity on them no letter or number, it's all visual. The leaflet is all pictures but no words .

Does the job
Bought it to fit in an alcove which was a difficult size. It takes time to build but instructions were alright. Pay close attention to different holes etc as they look very similar. The end result is a good product but a few points: 1. Doors were slanted despite product being level. Managed to fix this by pushing the black height adjuster under the door rail. 2. Inserts are really spare and hard to find suitable items for it. Ended up getting some plastic storage solutions from IKEA (Skubb). I would buy again for the size but if the width is no issue, there are better alternatives out there.

Very complicated to build
Wow this was a real challenge for me. One of the sides snapped but once I had found Argos did spare I had it replaced. This took hours and hours to build as it's massive so you need space, and it's not even because of the sliding doors. I managed to build it and get it working but it's wonky. The doors looked complicated but they were easy. They are the best part of it. The frame was complicated, not sturdy and difficult to build

Excellent value fot he money
Put this together last weekend, took two of us. For the money and what you get can fault it was really easy to put together but paperwork could have been better part of it was some guesswork ...

Lovely wardrobe.
Looking for a wardrobe for a smallish bedroom so it had to be a sliding door one. Others we looked at were very expensive - this was just the right size and very reasonable. I would say as good a quality as the more expensive ones.

Brilliant wardrobes, only the instructions have to be a little clearer

Lovely wardrobe!
As lots of other reviews have said, it took ages to put together, circa 6 hours, but that was on my own, other than the bit where I needed to lift the frame upright. There were a few minor scuff marks on various panels, however, these were all in non-visible places when built, so not a big issue. The only minor negative is that the paint is not very hard wearing where each piece of the doors meet, which, given the price in the sale, isn’t a problem and can only be noticed up close. Other than that, it opens and closes really quietly. Apart from being time consuming, assembly was easy. The best thing to do is unpack everything and lay it out in order of when you’ll need each part, according to the instructions. Also, treat each piece like glass, as the smallest of knocks against any solid object can cause damage to the panels!

Really sturdy, quality wardrobe
We wanted a sturdy wardrobe which was deep enough to fit men's suits etc. Once assembled it is just as we had hoped. The instructions were spot on except the top where it would have been helpful to pop a reminder to put the 5 almost undetectable screw starter holes so they faced the ceiling(so you can later attach the door runner easily). The diagrams do not show this either although all other holes on other parts shown clearly. All fitted together very well. Very pleased.

Great wardrobe
Great wardrobe, built it on my own, just needed a bit of help to stand it up and to get the upper door on. The robe was well packed, instructions were good and easy to follow. It is nice and sturdy and plenty of hanging space with a handy shelf. Doors slide really nicely. Very happy.

This does not come with extra shelves or any extra fixings for shelves. We'd advise against trying to use or fix 3rd party, non-original shelves in the unit.

Hello DIYer,
The supplier has advised the following for the Holsted Small Wardrobe - Oak Effect:
"The customer can add mirrors but they will be responsible for ensuring that the mirrors are stuck to the doors sufficiently that they do not fall off." To this, we'd have to add that adding mirrors would invalidate the guarantee as it' count as an alteration and any damage or faults that arise from the fitting or use of added mirrors wouldn't be covered by the guarantee. Also, you'd need to consider the stability and safety of any mirrors you do add.
However, we do also sell this version here which does have a mirror on one of the doors: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8829630/?clic...
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
