Surprisingly good
I bought this a short time ago for the spare bedroom, it’s reasonably quiet on the lowest speed, a little noisier when increased, my daughter has got used to the fan now and it doesn’t prevent her from sleeping, the screen display has the option to dim it, this is a good feature as it is fairly bright, the tilt is good for a tower fan and the option to have it oscillating or fixed position is a plus, the turn is very good as is the airflow. The remote control is wafer thin and as light as a feather, about the size of a credit and it responds to commands very well. The only mode we haven’t used as yet is the ionisation, but I’d say it’s as good as every other mode this fan has. The colour is a soft copper colour, the fan seems sturdy enough too, I’d recommend it.

Good product
Stylish and very effective. Its variety of speeds and settings mean it can be adjusted to variable atmospheric conditions. I bought it just as another heatwave was beginning, and it was blissfully to have it in the room! There wasn’t a lot of choice in midsummer as few if any other makes were in stock, but I thought a reputable make was a safe purchase and so it proving so far.

Does the job very well
Does the job very well. Sleep mode great. Ionisation a bit of a gimmick. Tilt feature useful. Nice and slim. Display a bit bright but you cannot see it with your eyes closed so don't worry. If you are using during the day just hit full power oscillate and relax. It will make you cool or make you feel as though you are cool, which is almost the same thing

A lifesaver during the heatwaves
I bought this during the first heatwave around here and I am so glad I did! It’s been a lifesaver at times, keeping my bedroom nice and cool. I really like the different settings and modes on it, and appreciate the fact you can dim the display on it overnight. It tilts easily too, which helps direct the airflow where you need. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

Glad I bought this with yet another heat wave bearing down upon us but it is rather noisy. You get used to it but you can actually hear it down the hallway!

he Dimplex Ion Fresh is a tower fan with an ioniser. It cools you by moving air across your skin, which helps sweat evaporate and makes you feel cooler, but it does not lower the room temperature like an AC does. The ioniser mainly helps improve air quality by attracting airborne particles such as dust and pollen
Only an air conditioning unit will bring the temperature of a room down. Fans lime these create a breeze to make you feel cooler.
Hello, you cannot set the temperature on these units, they have 3 speed settings( low, medium or high) and 3 different modes (normal, natural and sleep). The current room temperature will show on the LED display.

"If the fan is facing you with the cable at the front, the fan should oscillate left and right."

There are no energy ratings for cooling fans.
The Fan is a sealed unit and can not be opened. We recommend using a damp cloth on the air inlet and outlet regularly.

There is a check that can be completed on the remote and this can be done by putting a smart phone into selfie mode and pointing the remote at the camera. If the remote is working, you will see a flickering light on screen coming from the remote's infrared lens. If you cannot see the light, then a new remote will be required.
