Top-Tier Audio in a Premium Package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgrading to the Galaxy Buds Pro 4 from the previous generation, these earphones look high-end and extremely well-made. The new all-metal design feels incredibly sturdy and premium. The fit was a bit of a curveball out of the box, taking a few tip swaps to get perfectly comfortable. I'm using them with a non-native phone this year, meaning a few app features are missing, but the core experience remains solid. The audio quality now is simply phenomenal—we're talking genuine, high-class audio! Between the pristine, crystal-clear separation and the excellent microphone performance, these are easily best in class. I listen to a lot of music and podcasts, and the rich sound signature provides an almost audiophile-tier listening experience. Plus, the local AI voice features are super snappy. The new metal controls are more limited than the old gestures but are highly reactive. While using Bluetooth LE for uncompressed audio is fantastic, I have experienced random dropouts, which I hope a firmware update fixes. Also, the active noise cancellation (ANC) is just OK. Despite the mid-tier ANC, if you care foremost about unparalleled, high-class audio fidelity, these buds are absolutely worth the upgrade!

Galaxy Buds 4 Pro - Massive Upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for a number of years, I was very interested to find out how far Samsung have come along since then with the brand new Buds 4 series. Immediately I can see a massive change with the design, the 2 were very small and inconspicuous, with amazing sound and incredible battery life. The 4 on the other hand look ultra premium with a bushed metal finish on the new 'blades' that stick out from the bottom of the buds. The controls are handled on the side of these blades, with swiping up and down motions for volume control, or a single pinch/pinch and hold for play/pause and to toggle ANC/ambient sound. It takes some getting used to, especially over the simplicity of the Buds 2 Pro, but you soon get used to them. Thanks to the mics being located on the ends of these blades, call clarity is greatly improved which makes phones calls feel a lot more natural. The main draw for me to upgrade to the 4's is the improved audio, and you really can hear the refinement. Music sounds clear a d full, it is played around you rather than at you, and the bass is deep but clear, no layers are muddied. The main disappointment is the battery life. They absolutely will last you a full couple of days of pretty intense usage, but coming from the Buds 2 Pro's which would last what felt like twice as long, it can be a bit of a faff having to remember to charge the 4's so often, but this is more of a minor issue. Overall, the 4's are a massive upgrade over the 2's in almost every way, and are definitely worth buying.

They have great design and are a better fit in the ear, especially since I have quite small ear openings. I love the fact you can custom the sound by doing a short hearing test, that helped me find the right balance. The case too, is an improvement - I was wary but the case is really small and easy to fit the buds in, and lasts a fair while charged up. Overall, impressed with the clarity and the design and would recommend.
