About this product
The Habitat Ladder Office Desk gives you a proper workspace without using up half your room. It's a vertical design that makes the most of wall height, so you've got a practical desk surface for working and two shelves above for keeping books, plants or bits you need close by. The white finish keeps things light and fits with most room styles. There's a drawer built in for tucking away pens, cables or paperwork. The slender frame doesn't crowd tight spaces like box rooms, alcoves or corners where bulkier desks won't fit.
The wood frame keeps it sturdy enough for daily laptop use, with a 10kg load capacity on the desk surface. Two fixed shelves give you display and storage space without adding width. Wall-fixing is recommended for stability, that's really important because it's tall and needs securing to prevent tipping. There's space underneath for your chair to slide in comfortably. It's an ok piece of furniture. Maybe for a spare room, teenager's room or office space. For the price it's well made. Be aware it's extremely heavy and ideally a two person job to assemble and you definitely need some patience to put the draw together! Overall it's ok!

Lovely product; pathetic website filled with bugs!
Whilst the product itself suits our needs and looks good, Argos' website is just pathetic. Over two days, whenever we tried to select home delivery, it kept throwing an error. We were forced to do store pick-up and struggled to bring the package home. You'd think a simple thing such as a website can be operational without bugs, but looks like no :(

Bought this to function as a dressing table in narrow space. It’s well made and heavy. I managed to put it together by myself but it would have been easier to put the sides on with another person; the screw holes are so small it’s hard to know you have lined up correctly. But the whole thing took me about an hour. Only odd thing is there is a gap between the back of the desk part and the wall.

Having checked I can see the desk top height can not be adjusted. There is a space of 61.3cm under the desk for a chair.

Yes, it is possible to remove the drawer. It’s set on runners that screw into the sides of the drawer. You can pull it right out then undo the screw to take the drawer off entirely. If the drawer is not a required feature, as it’s not structural, you’d be free to build the unit and leave the drawer opening empty.
