Trimming was incredibly satisfying, smooth and made edging around bushes a breeze. It lasted a long time and the power cord was a great length used alongside an outdoor extension cord.

Mighty strim
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A fantastic addition to my garden! As a busy mum I often struggle to find the time to get out into garden especially when it comes to dealing with fiddly jobs. Moving around heavy equipment is just not an option. But this strummer weighs little but packs a punch. It’s neat and a great adjustable height with an equally useful adjustable handle. It’s very easy to operate and I found it tucked away nicely in my small space for safe keeping. It was surprisingly quiet for a strimmer - some are just so loud it’s off putting but this one whilst not quiet was quiet enough to not disturb me. I’ve got some tricky patches of grass around bases of trees and along edges of lawn and patio which either get missed or mulched by a lawnmower but this strimmer got to work and the job was done in minutes and I was so happy with the result and proud of myself. I found it also super useful for just strimming over random patches of larger weeds growing through grass and it dealt with tougher stems of brambles like it was a hot knife through butter. Such a great investment!

Good strimmer, poorly built.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product was easy to assemble and was ready to use in a couple of minutes. Good quality strimmer, cut down grass with ease and even tackled some tough weeds. The shape of the guard made it easy to get right into edges and corners. It was quite loud but then all strimmers are. The major downside is that it broke within about 15 minutes of being used. The plastic cap underneath which houses the strimming wire came flying off when it caught a bit of concrete. Could be fixed with tape but very inconvenient and also dangerous!

Simple but great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Flymo SimpliTrim is an excellent, super easy to setup and use, garden strimmer. Setup took around 5 minutes, to get all the pieces out of the box and snap it together. Once assembled it was easy to use, with a safety guard to stop you doing your self some damage, it did an excellent job cutting through the long grass on the edges. I'd highly recommend.

Great response to the problem by Argos
Put it together , used on a small gardens edges and didn't get to finish as the black cap inside snapped and so i had to stop. Luckily i was able to contact Argos online and chat with a real person who was super helpful and organised for it to be picked up and a new one delivered the next day. Willing to give the new one a chance and hope it was just bad luck.

This is not true, mt spool cap is broken I cannot find a replacement anywhere. I have contacted Flymo, and they have been unhelpful.
