About this product
Curved cuts in worktops or intricate woodwork patterns? The McGregor PSJ610F is a 710W corded jigsaw for precision cutting in wood and metal. Variable speed control adapts your cutting pace to match fragile veneers or thick timber. You'll change blades in seconds without searching for allen keys using the tool-less system. The 4-position pendulum function switches between aggressive cuts for speed and gentle action for clean edges. Connect dust extraction to keep sawdust away from your cutting line for better visibility. It handles wood up to 55mm thick and metal up to 5mm.
The soft-grip handle reduces hand fatigue so longer projects feel manageable. You'll work without constant trigger pressure using the lock-on switch for continuous operation. The parallel guide keeps cuts straight when you're ripping boards or trimming panels. Left-handed users get the same comfortable control as right-handed operators. A 2m cable lets you move freely around larger workpieces. It includes a wood cutting blade, hex key and parallel guide.

Cheap but functional
For my small jobs it is doing what it need to. I bought some quality Bosch blades to go with it.

Poor
Returning- the blade isn’t secure enough in the holder despite reading instructions multiple times. And trying multiple times. I tried to use it, making sure it was secure and centred in the groove, the blade snapped after 30 seconds.

Great little jigsaw for DIY with a low price tag
I bought this whilst attempting to add panelling to. Y bedroom. It became rapidly apparent that my handsaw was not ideal so wanted a jigsaw at a good price and pretty much “now!” Spotted this at just £18 and figured it was worth a punt. Reviews helped me choose. It has a good wattage and is more than capable of cutting the beadboard sheets I was using. Really helped me achieve the desired look without all the effort of a handsaw. For the task I used it for it was ideal

Good value
I bought this for my husband as his jigsaw had given up. I was attracted by its low price, as it was reduced, plus I thought it was worth taking the chance as he needed the jigsaw for a project we’re working on plus I was able to have it delivered the following morning. I was also able to use my nectar points which brought the cost down to just over £10! When it was delivered and I lifted it I was surprised at the weight of it and my husband was also pleased by the sturdiness of it. He charged it up and it has been doing the job well.

Got this jigsaw a few days ago to cut some fence panels, its great and took minutes to cut the wood

Easy to change blade
Bought this 2 days ago. As other one broke. This is easy to use and easy to replace blade. Unlike other one. My only concern is the control to keep it straight is not as good a previous one. But good value for the money

Hello Macca1973,
The supplier has advised for the McGregor PSJ610F Jigsaw - 710W: I can confirm this can cut wood including decking wood.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello there.
The McGregor PSJ610F Jigsaw uses T-shank blades, which are the most commonly used type compatible with modern jigsaws. U-shank blades are also available but are less common due to the tool-less blade changing system that most modern jigsaws use.
Thank you for using Q&A
