Great kettle niggling fault
This is my third one great kettle long lasting let down badly by on switch failed on three times not that it did not work but the the plastic black switch broke bad fault on other wise good product

Sturdy kettle that lasts 7 years
Had this kettle since 2018 and use it multiple times everyday. It's only this week (may 2025) that it doesn't reach boiling point anymore. Think the thermostat is gone but it's lasted 7 years with good care so fair enough! Kettle sits securely on base, is easy to hold, and feels durable. Will be getting another!

Nasty Bitter taste after 5 months of use.
Horrible bitter taste after not boiling fresh water every time, We use a Brita filter jug for water and then place it into the kettle for boiling as scaley water area but still tastes weird. never had this problem before just recently. my last kettle lasted 10+ years of a different brand.

Attractive design and easy to use
Attractive design, quick to boil and easy to hold. The only design criticism I have is the water level indicator is difficult to see as it is tucked between kettle and handle. It is far easier and quicker to open the lid and look at the water level.

Great kettle/small gripe.
Good kettle. It does all the things that it said it would and it is the second Hobbs kettle that we have bought. [The first developed a slight intermittent leak after a few years] The only negative is the Hobbs logo on the side of the kettle which has smudged. The same happened with the first Hobbs kettle. If you wipe it with a damp cloth it just makes it worse. Why does this happen? This seems to be quite a basic design fault. It spoils the look of an excellent value for money product. .

Loving this kettle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this item for free in return for an honest review. Ive been using this for a couple of months now and i have no complaints. Its handle is comfortable to hold no matter how full it is, whereas previous kettles ive owned have hurt my wrist to lift or hanve been awkward to handle. The quick boil options for up to 3 cups is really quick to boil and surely uses alot less electricity. The colour and material are pleasant on the eye and easy to clean. The lid is easy to open making filling it up an easy experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a brilliant kettle. Russell Hobbs have designed a beautifully stylish kettle that does a great job. The colour fits well with pretty much every kitchen and especially mine. The feel of the kettle is sleek and the handle fits comfortably in your hand. Easy to open the lid to fill and boils water very fast. Can have a cuppa made in under a minute and is perfectly hot every time. The spout is designed very well and no drips or leaking from anywhere else. The fact it can save you up to 65% in energy is great too. The water measuring gage under the handle is spot on and a full kettle can make 8 cups. I love the hole look of this kettle and coming with up to 3 years guarantee gives you peace of mind you are covered and safe. I highly recommend this kettle to all, you really can't go wrong.
