So good it's almost not real
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The standout feature of this TV is the display. Whether I’m watching freeview in SD or streaming in 4K, the quality and watching experience cannot be faulted. That's the most important thing right? I sit side on to the screen, my seat is at a 45 degree angle to the screen and the matte screen means that the reflection is minimal. I connected a high end sound bar/sub and it works perfectly. The sound, albeit an external speaker, is flawless. I have the option to make lip sync adjustments but I didn't need to. The added bonus is that via ARC I could access the sound bar’s interface using the Hisense remote. The only issue is that I still need a separate remote to control the volume. In terms of interactivity, the most important factor for me is lag. A few milliseconds delay in response to the remote would degrade the user experience. But the Hisense is instant; it helps that the menu items are logically organised - think Mrs Doubtfire navigating Miranda’s kitchen with ease - “everything is so logical and practical”. The remote itself has shortcut buttons to the popular streaming services, and to freeview. A couple of nice touches from the remote include the find me option, if you lose the remote you can just press a button on the TV and it makes the remote beep. Also, it doesn’t take batteries, it’s got a solar panel that works from your internal light bulbs. So you never need to change the batteries and you can’t lose it! Initially I set the TV up without the frame, as I prefer a minimalist look. But using the TV in art mode is really enhanced by the “picture frame” that comes included. I had some family over that haven’t been to my home for a few months, so I left the TV in VIDAA Art Mode and they genuinely thought it was a hanging painting. They only knew it wasn’t actual art when the image changed from Monet’s Water Lilies to Van Gogh’s Starry Night. The problem I have is that people keep going up to it and touching the screen to see if it’s real. So if cleaning curious fingerprints is the only downside to this TV, I'm happy with that! One final comment: it's lightening fast to turn on.

INCREDIBLE TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought the 55" Hisense CanvasTV and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. I wanted a TV that would look good in the living room without standing out too much – something that felt more like part of the decor – and this one absolutely delivers. The included teak-effect frame makes a huge difference. It really does look like a proper picture frame on the wall, and with the matte anti-glare screen, it genuinely passes as artwork when it’s off. I’ve got it set to cycle through some of the free built-in art, but I’ve also uploaded a few of my own photos and it looks amazing. Friends and family have actually asked if it’s a digital picture frame – they’re shocked when I tell them it’s a full 4K TV. Picture quality is fantastic. The QLED display makes colours look rich and vibrant, and it handles films and sports really well. I’m not overly technical, but it feels like a massive upgrade from my last TV. I’ve also connected my PS5 and the gaming experience is smooth – the 144Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 ports are a great bonus. It runs on Google TV, which is easy to use and has all the apps I need. The remote’s really handy too – backlit and with shortcut buttons to Netflix and YouTube, which I use a lot. Amazing value. It looks great, works brilliantly, and doubles as art.

Absolutely in love with this TV!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where do I even start? The delivery and packaging were great, everything was really straight forward and easy to unpack. The TV is a bit thicker and heavier than I expected so I would recommend 2 people to take it out of the box. We use the TV for 2 purposes- films and lots of games. I must say i am really impressed with the matt screen and the light does not reflect so you can watch during the day and not struggle to see or having to pull the curtains. The images are so crips and clear it’s like having a home cinema, the sound is incredible and also super clear. It creates a great atmosphere when you are playing or watching tv. When in stand-by mode, I was shocked to see how well it resembles a painting. All the options that the TV provides are superb, from realistic pictures to oil canvas that look so real. You can also make your own reel of images which is super cute, I am currently working on an album for my cats. The remote is charged with light, I personally never owned a remote that doesn’t have batteries so that was a great little surprise. Overall, I genuinely believe it is worth the price and it delivers to the promise of looking fantastic in your home, as well as delivering great imagery and sound. I did not have time to mount it in the wall yet but for now I will use the little stand it came with (super helpful). The only thing I would say it’s that I would’ve liked at least 1 extra frame to be more diverse but you can buy those separate.

Great thin TV that hides as a picture
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with this TV, sceptical about if it would be slim enough or mount close enough to the wall. But it did, the mouniting brakets are brilliant and ensure the TV is secured tight to the wall, giving a great illusion of it being just a picture. Picture quality is fantastic, no issues with movement at speed. I love that it has the main streaming services as a single button The remote having a solar panel is a nice bonus, saves charging the remote, althouth the abilty to charge and not keep changing batteries is also fab. Only downsides are the power consumption is a bit high when costs are up, and the double edge sword of the close mounting meaning it was not possible to mount over a plug socket as with mounts that sit further from the wall. But a great TV, hides well, with great picture

Understated Beauty that is Artful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having received delivery the first thing I noticed was how big the box was so be ready for that. Setting up meant finding the studs in the wall to mount the TV, it sits flush against the wall because it is meant to be a large framed canvas when not using it and the magnetic frame finishes the overall look. Of course there's no adjustment available in position when mounted but that is understandable. There are feet that can be used if preferred. Setup up was easy as it runs Android, just follow the instructions onscreen. Using the screen is great, I have a very bright living room so reflections have always been an issue but the Hisense has a high matte screen so viewing is so much better. At 4k 144hz screen quality is beautiful and smooth and gaming with my consoles is perfect. It is a smart TV so has apps baked in such as netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube adding more convenience. Sound quality is lovely, and the screen doesn't strain my eyes, my favourite thing is when not in use it defaults to displaying artwork which comes built in so it doesn't look like a giant black slab like other TVs. Overall I highly recommend it and I am loving mine.

Suprising experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't know what to expect from this TV as I never used canvas TV before. Everything is marked well in the box and packaging is secure. It took me a bit of time to put TV on the wall as I had to change my normal bracket to the one provided - I lost possibility of twisting the unit but I understood why a bit later. So what makes this TV special? It's canvas so the frame makes it look more like a picture frame! At first I was sceptical when I looked at it but when I discovered the app and art function I understood what is the point of this - when I put painted pictures on the TV it really looks like a painting! Picture quality is good and sound is much better then my old TV Plus all the functions on the app - you can set up motion sensor so painting art pictures will show when motion is detected in the room. This is something absolutely new to me and I have to say I like it. Another nice touch is solar battery on the remote - new technology and good for the planet. Plus shortcuts to apps on the remote make life much easier - netflix etc. There is so many functions waiting to be discovered but art side of the TV is very unusual and makes this TV special. And my living room looks so much better now. Cons - viewing angle when you don't sit straight ahead is not the same quality

Surprisingly great TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Hisense 55S7NQTUK Canvas TV for a couple of weeks now, and honestly, it’s really surprised me—in a good way. The picture quality is stunning. Whether it’s a film, streaming something in 4K or hooking my laptop to it for a work call, the colours are vibrant and the clarity’s spot on. Blacks are deep, motion is smooth, and it handles fast scenes like a champ. What really sets it apart though is the Art Mode. It genuinely looks like a framed picture on the wall when it’s off. I’ve had a few people do double-takes thinking it was an actual print. There’s a solid selection of art to choose from, and the matte finish on the screen means no glare, even in daylight. The wooden frame adds to the whole illusion—it blends right into the living room decor. It’s packed with features like all the usual smart TV apps plus the ability to watch free to air tv without an aerial plus the setup was refreshingly straightforward. My only gripe? The remote. It’s chunky and not exactly nice to hold or look at. Bit of a let-down when everything else feels so thoughtfully designed. But aside from that, I’m genuinely impressed.

Great tv and wall art !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So fresh out the box and wow. I am still awaiting our electrician to sort my high-level socket and cable run for the Virgin to the same point but cant wait to have this mounted. Even on the legs this comes with rather than mounted it looks like a piece of artwork so cant wait for this to be on the wall (already considering another for the family room) In the box there is the Hisense's UltraSlim wall included, looks slick and can see how this shall keep the tv flush to the wall and with the frame give the perception of a picture when art mode is on. There are also feet in the box should you wish to not have on the wall. setup was very quick, and all functions working within minutes. All the usual apps built in as well as many more, dedicated children’s area / profile, Ability to have the app / remote on your phone / tablet, this lets you not only control the tv but also can be used to add photos of your choosing in to art gallery, this can either be photos, or if the numerous pictures included on the system already would let you add images of your favourite pieces of art. Once the art is there, the Canvas does a great job of displaying it in a lifelike manner. The advantage of having a matte display is mostly felt when you're in Art Mode, with the illusion of staring at an actual art piece going into full effect. It really does look like a painting rather than a TV when in this mode. The matte screen coating does its job very well. Diffusing light from other sources effectively so that they are only hinted at when the screen is dark. When any image is on the screen (be that art or actually using as a TV) the matte finish and the brightness of the screen itself easily overpower the reflections. One push of the power button on the remote puts it into Art mode, a second push turns the screen totally off. A third push wakes it back up and goes to whatever input you have set for power on behaviour, we have this set up so as the kids can use the virgin remote and get straight on to tv, if we use the other remote we open in art, then can navigate to whatever we want to use. I also appreciate the abundance of settings that come with Art Mode, including timers for motion detection (which puts the TV into sleep mode when it doesn't detect any movement in the room for a given time), gallery rotations, defaulting to display painting information. It is a talking point for sure, and shall only be improved upon when I get on the wall. The wood appearance fram

A great TV designed to be hidden in plain sight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The idea of a TV so lovely you won't turn it off is pretty innovative. From unboxing, though the set up and operating, the whole process was easy and well thought out. Each part is labelled with clear instructions how to put everything together, so I was quickly up and running. The app worked well, and getting the channels set up was very simple. There’s more than enough inputs for adding external devices like consoles, Blu-ray players and hard drive devices if you want to store/access other media. To show this TV off to its fullest, it's designed to be hung on the wall like a picture frame (wall mount is provided), however initially I set it up on the stand (also provided) to check the features. It's much lighter in weight than my previous TV (so I was able to lift and install without needing another person to help), but this doesn't mean they have skimped on the build or picture quality. The colours are vibrant, with lots of sound and picture settings to suit the occasion (film, sports, speech etc). The detachable wooden frame sets the screen off perfectly, and can be removed/changed to suit your room decoration, and the matt screen eliminated the glare you get when the sun hits the screen , so you don’t have to hide your TV away in a dark corner of the room. As expected with such a slim TV, you don't get a really loud base rumble on this set, however, coupling with a sound-bar or surround speakers really creates a home cinema feel. The high picture resolution enables the painting to look totally realistic when looking at the TV in 'art' mode. I really liked the fact that loads of free digital channels are already included, with the option of easily adding more apps via the menu options, or using voice activated commands. I’m not familiar with the brand HiSense, but if this is typical of the quality of their tech, I’ll certainly be looking to purchase their products in future.
