AEG FSS96828P Full Size Integrated Dishwasher

Doesn't work.

It failed on first use after installation by John Lewis. The pump doesn't work, so it is half full of water. John Lewis are replacing it, but only after 3 weeks of waiting for them to do so, while it's sitting with water and food slowly rotting. To make matters worse, I use a wheelchair and bought it because it was accessible. This means I now have no dishwasher and can't access a sink. Thanks, AEG.

Pre wash app only

It’s a great dishwasher and easily installed, what I wasn’t expecting was having to connect to the app to use pre wash. In my old cottage with thick stone walls this can prove tricky and seems an unnecessary and time wasting faff. In fact I don’t use it as it’s frustrating. Why oh why doesn’t have a simple prewash program?

Once initial ‘fault’ resolved A1 !

The machine is an excellent design and function , easy to use with all you would need from a modern dishwasher. The unit has confortlift function however after first use the bottom basket remained locked in the elevated position and was jammed under the upper basket. After trying to speak to and AEG customer service via phone for an hour with the help of YouTube and some careful observation I discovered the bottom basket had not been fully installed correctly therefore jamming on opening. With some considerable manipulation once the fault was spotted managed to get the basket in to the correct location therefore freeing the locking mechanism and slow for the comfort lift to function as it should, I can only assume this was not tested in the assembly before being shipped for sale which is not a great start and I was lucky to have the patience and ability to resolve myself. Hence the 4 star rating. Since then could not be more delighted with the machine…. Excellent programmes to chose from extremely quiet function with operational floor light and drying function could not ask for more. Maybe a quicker customer service access would be something to consider an hour waiting is not acceptable these days.

Spot on!

Searched for a new dishwasher for ages and read the reviews. I could have bought a much cheaper dishwasher, but decided on this one. I usually find that it’s worth paying a bit more for better quality and spec. All good so far.

I am extremely disappointed in this model.

Extremely disappointed in this model. It is impossible to arrange dishes so that they do not touch one another after the wash has started and when they do debris is trapped between them, so I have to re-wash by hand.. An engineer explained it is because little water is used. In addition it is extremely difficult to access the salt fill and the filter by reaching down between the baskets, I chose the Comfort Lift because of poor mobility. I have recently looked at a new model in a showroom and it looks as if the supporting 'prongs' in the bottom tray have been redesigned but those in the top are still too far apart. I intend to remove this and fit an alternative brand. Last point - why no rinse cycle? I use the machine during daylight hours as I have PV panels so things have to be left in overnight.

Does what it states - which is good. 4 stars because the racks are all the same space - I did have before a rack with large space between them for thicker items. Do love the bottom tray lift.

Can't believe how quiet it is!

We've had a couple of dishwashers over the years and this is the quietest by far. No wonder it shines a light to tell you it's on! Being able to raise the bottom shelf when loading and unloading it isn't a gimmick, it's a godsend when you get a bit older. Cutlery drawers are way better than cutlery baskets and the touch controls are easy to use. Definitely our best buy dishwasher and would recommend it to anyone.......

Almost perfect!

The only issue is we have plates with a lip around the edge and all the racks are close together, so the plates don't fit properly.
