Stylish & functional, easy installation.
This was ordered to match (black) new AEG double oven and AEG gas hob with Wok burner. Great that you can configure for extraction or recirculation. Fixings & fitting instructions and template are included. Used a 150mm to 125mm reducer as the existing extraction hose is 125mm, which is core drilled through a double cavity wall. Fortunately the run from the Fan to the pipe is very minimal 25cm which shouldn't impact on fan longevity. Operation is very simple, light on/off button, 3 buttons for varying the speed (you have to press each one to increase the speed) you can't press 3rd button for top speed you have to press each one in turn ie 1-2-3 to get to to 3. However we leave the 2 button pressed in and use the 1st button (which is the power button) to switch the fan on, works like a preset. Fan is good at capturing the steam from the new hob (better than the old one) screens can be washed in the dishwasher (note the temp to use) Overall very pleased as it blends in the rest of the kitchen appliances. I am thinking of installing a carbon filter into the hood (recirculation mode requires this) to see if that reduces the amount of grease entering the fan unit without compromising the fan. Very pleased with the overall quality and function of the hood. ps The actual symbols printed above the switches are difficult to read as the hood is black, when installed can't you see them unless your are over 2m tall.

You will find it on your Cooker Hood – Underneath the hood, at the back. Remove the filter first.
For the AEG DBX3651R cooker hood, if you want to use it in recirculating mode, you only need a charcoal (carbon) filter—not a full recirculation kit.
Here’s why:
The DBX3651R is designed to support both ducted extraction and recirculation.
In recirculation mode, the hood captures cooking vapours, passes them through a charcoal filter, and then recirculates clean air back into the kitchen. There’s no need for additional ducting or a conversion kit for this model.
The charcoal filter should be replaced every 3–12 months, depending on usage.
A recirculation kit is typically required only for models that are originally ducted and need conversion to ductless operation (it usually includes vents and filters). Since the DBX3651R already supports recirculation, you just need the charcoal filter.
The AEG DBX3651R cooker hood can be installed in two ways:
Ducted (Extraction Mode):
Connects to an external vent so cooking fumes are expelled outside. This is the most effective method for removing humidity and odors.
