Great tv but with a few niggles
The Hisense 50E8QTUK 50 Inch Mini LED HD Smart TV, is a great buy for the price its the only way you can get near a qd mini led at this price, the picture quality is generally good but does suffer a bit in very bright rooms, also sd picture quality in sd suffers suggesting that the ai upscaler isn't quite up to the job but when your watching hd channels the picture quality is outstanding, the sound is generally good and the built in sub woofer does a good job, if your willing to take some time playing with the settings you can get a quite satisfactory sound setup, the thing that let's the tv down is its connectivity, if you connect to the Internet it automatically "upgrades" the tv to freely that adds streaming chanels to the freeview channels it inserts these chanels at random making all the usual freeview numbers out of sink (gb news on 343 instead of 236, bbc1 on 223 instead of 101), and if you're scanning through the tv guide at a quick pace it tells you it can't connect to the Internet and the whole tv guide goes black needing a tv reboot to sort it, I eventually detected all cookies and app cache, factory reset, then deleted freely and things seem to be running ok now, the other niggle I have is the remote is on the same ir frequency as lg tvs, so I have hisense in kitchen and an lg in the living room and sometimes one remote turns the wrong tv off or on , the remote also has a tendency to skip itself forward like if you press chanel up its goes up 3 or 4 same with the volume - overall its quite a good tv and if your on a budget its a great tv, just be aware of its down sides

Good for the price
Needed a replacement for my LG TV, found this one online and it ticked all the boxes and for the price very competitive amongst other manufacturers. Packed with features and apps, great picture quality and decent sound even without the soundbar attached.
