About this product
Slow-cooked stews, weekend roasts, and proper comfort food come together in the Habitat Cast Iron Casserole Dish. The 3.3L capacity gives you plenty of space for feeding a crowd or batch-cooking meals for the week ahead, and the bold orange finish looks good enough to take straight from hob to table. Made from cast iron with enamel coating inside and out, it spreads heat evenly across the cooking surface and locks in moisture to keep everything tender and flavourful. It's the kind of dish that handles everyday dinners and special occasions with equal ease.
The sturdy construction retains heat longer, so your food stays warm while you serve up. It works on any hob you've got, whether that's electric, gas, ceramic, induction, solid hotplates, or halogen, and it's oven safe up to 260C for slow roasting and braising. The generous size (3.3L capacity, W29.6, D23.1cm) fits a whole chicken with veg or a hearty stew for six. The enamel coating makes cleanup straightforward, and the lid seals in all those rich flavours while you cook. It's reliable cookware that brings people together over home-cooked meals.

Excellent value for excellent quality
This purchase was for my grandson to take to university. He plans to use it for cooking stews or other all-in-one dishes. The quality is superb. Heat is conducted evenly all over and you can even brown meat in it before adding other ingredients. It is easy to take care of and can last for many many years What's more it is attractive and suitable for top of cooker dishes or oven cooking. Then it is taken straight to the table for serving. I am delighted with its quality.

Just what I wanted!
I bought this to use as a Dutch oven to cook my sourdough bread. I’m a new baker but this works perfectly and gives me confidence that it will turn out okay.
