About this product
The Argos Home Elmdon Deep Ortho Divan Bed gives you firm support and practical storage in one compact double bed. The open coil mattress contains 288 springs that hold their shape night after night, while a firm feel keeps your body aligned. The no-turn design reduces time, you just rotate it regularly to even out wear. A quilted damask cover adds a soft layer that feels comfortable against your skin. Two built-in drawers slide out from both sides of the base, so you can store spare bedding, clothes or anything else you want tucked away.
Chrome feet lift the frame slightly off the floor for easy cleaning underneath. The fabric-covered base gives stable support and keeps the mattress level across the frame. Internal drawer space fits folded items or bulkier bedding without cramping your storage options. The grey finish works well with most bedroom colours and styles. Arrives in three parcels with minimal assembly needed, two people recommended. Headboards available separately if you want to complete the look.

Dissappointed
I bought this bed for when my 12yr nieces daughter stays which is not very often. The mattress was supposed to be firm but is soft the fabric covering the mattress has stretched and puckers up under the sheet. This mattress will be lucky to last a year or two. The frame is OK I draw sticks. I wish I had paid more money for a better bed and mattress.

The depth should be 22cm. Mattresses aren’t perfectly flat—pillowing, quilting, and shaped edges can make the stitched sides uneven. By placing a straight pole across the top and another across the bottom, you create two completely flat reference planes. This ensures you measure the actual maximum thickness, not the lower, inconsistent edge height.
How to Measure the Depth of a Mattress.
Place one straight pole (or a long straight object) across the top surface of the mattress so that it lies flat and level.
Place a second pole underneath the mattress, directly below the top one, ensuring it is also flat and level.
Measure the vertical distance between the two poles using a tape measure.
This measurement represents the true depth of the mattress, taken from the highest point of the top surface to the lowest point of the bottom surface, not from the stitched or quilted edges.

If the label states ‘non‑turn’, the mattress is not designed to be flipped over. However, you can still rotate it so the head end becomes the foot end, which helps maintain even wear.
