Customers Say
LG OLED TV praised for excellent picture quality, vibrant colors, deep blacks, and sleek design. Sound is generally good but some find it tinny. WebOS is user-friendly but can be slow and cluttered with ads.

Setting up the tv
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once you sort out how to get to the different settings which without a manual is not easy for the more advanced in years. But once sorted the settings for the picture etc is great. Really happy with the OLED

Great TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had this TV a couple of days but very impressed so far. Was concerned about all the online reviews regarding the brightness during the day in bright rooms. If watching in filmmaker mode in HDR it can seem a bit dim but when watching through other picture modes or through the normal skyq box it is more than adequate in my opinion. Only slight niggle is when trying to watch media in media player it can be slow in playing and sometimes has been stuttering or cutting off. I'll have to search to see if a way to improve this in settings. Other than that picture quality is superb and, once you take of the energy saving settings, more than bright enough. Depending on the quality of original picture, the AI up scaling can look unnatural. However i have found that if you go through the picture settings there is a mode that always seems to improve it. I don't think there is a one size fits all picture setting for every type of video quality but there always seems to be a particular picture setting that improves all of what you watching. I having mostly been using the AI sound mode and no complaints with it. TV does sound much better using soundbar, as most do, but no issue with sound in casual viewing just using TV. Happy with purchase so far.

amazing tv
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG B5 is one of those rare TVs that quietly punches above its weight. It doesn’t try to be the flashiest OLED in LG’s lineup — instead, it focuses on what actually matters: pure image quality, gaming performance, and value. And in those areas, it’s genuinely outstanding.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the LG 48 Inch OLED48B56LA Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED TV: To record on this TV you would need a external hard drive with it's own power source that is formated to either FAT32 or NTFS.

2nd response from Kath above. Im glad to report that on day two of ownership the apps updated successfully and I was able to use them after first going through a simple sign in procedure where codes were sent to me to complete the process for BBCiplayer, ITVX, channels 4,5, utube, Spotify etc. Also multiple LG channels appeared. Im learning that I can also use the tv as a browser and can connect with my mobile using mirroring app where you can use your mobile to enter info on the tv.
I have had this tv 1 day, had issues straight away with internet connection hence you could not add apps you are interested in. Next day the tv connected itself without password info and installed the apps you are interested in. However they all required updating. When I try to do this it repeatedly messages unable to update and non were installed even though the icons were there. Only contact with LG is via email and awaiting response, I can only view freeview channels. User guide is useless.
Hello JJ,
