Not amazing
I got this as a replacement for a different vtec model that stopped working. Both were the same price but this model is lacking in comparison. The video quality is quite poor (think early phone camera 🤣) and even though there is the function to zoom the camera out it is still so zoomed in that even from quite a difference it doesn’t fit the whole cot in. As well as this because of the shape and the angle of the camera it’s been difficult to find a place in my babies room that’s suitable. So basically we may as well have got a monitor without a camera. The plus side is that the parent unit has a great battery life and the screen is big.

Works perfect
Straight out the box it just works. There's no set up or messing around and the signal never drops. It picks up sounds great and when we talk through it the voice quality is fairly good. I really like that it shows room temperature on the screen so it's easy to monitor.

Image is very clear. But I'm surprised it doesn't beep when baby cries. I could easily not hear this. But I expect it's normal among monitors, I can't compare.

I can advise the following for: Vtech VM5467 5 Inch Video Baby Monitor.
The power adapter lead for the Vtech VM5467 baby unit (camera) is generally 2 metres (6ft.5) long. This provides sufficient length to connect the camera to a standard mains socket for continuous power, which is required for operation.

The Parent Unit does not need to be plugged in when it has battery. You charge the battery with a USB-C cable, one is provided.
The Camera however does need to beplugged in at all times.

Both sides do require mains connection. When wireless is mentioned it's referring to the connection between the camera and the head unit.

These monitors can be easily recognised as the model name started with RM, example being the VTech RM7766HD 7” smart monitor."

We don’t offer additional cameras for this model. However, you can use two separate VTech VM5467 baby monitor systems in the same location. Each system includes its own camera and parent unit (screen), and they are designed to work only with each other.
