About this product

The Hoover HHCH 142 ELK Chest Freezer is a proper bit of kit if you need bulk frozen storage without worrying about drawers or compartments. It has a decent 137l capacity, giving you room for batch-cooked meals, bulk shopping, or whatever you need to keep frozen long-term. The digital touch control on the front lets you adjust settings without opening the lid, keeping the temperature stable and saving energy. The Fast Freeze function is handy when you bring home fresh items and want to lock in quality before ice crystals ruin the texture.

What's quite useful about this one is that it's built to work in cold environments, so you can stick it in the garage, basement or an outbuilding without worrying it'll pack in during winter. It's got a basket inside for the bits you need to grab quickly, and if the power cuts out it'll keep everything safely frozen for about a day. Manual defrost, so you'll need to sort that out occasionally, but that's standard for chest freezers. It's rated E for energy efficiency and runs at around 39dB. For the space and the flexibility of where you can put it, it's a solid option.
