The GFW Side Lift Ottoman Bed tackles bedroom clutter by hiding away linen, blankets, towels and clothes in a generous storage area underneath. The frame's wrapped in durable hopsack fabric with a simple stitched headboard that fits most bedroom styles. It's a practical choice when floor space is tight, offering over 500 litres of storage without needing extra furniture. The gas hydraulic system lifts the base smoothly from the right side, so there's no need to heave it up manually.
The sprung wooden slats support your mattress and allow airflow to keep things fresh. Plastic feet protect your floor and leave a small gap underneath for sweeping or vacuuming. The storage area's lined to protect your items from dust and wear. Supplied flat-packed with everything you need for assembly, two people recommended for easier handling. Holds up to 220kg total user weight, so it's built to handle everyday sleeping and storage demands.

Delivery issues and tricky assembly
I was hesitant to purchase a fairly value-end bed, but this was the one of the smallest side-lift ottomans I could find to fit into a tight space. Unfortunately courier communications weren't great and the bed turned up unexpectedly when no one was in. Then after unpacking everything, I discovered one of the cartons contained parts for the wrong model. After spending a lot of time sorting pick-up and redelivery, the build itself was really fiddly - partly due to rubbish instructions but also because the poor quality of some of the fittings. I've recently assembled two other new beds, including an ottoman, and this was definitely the most difficult. However, the finished product looks good, it fits well in the small space and my daughter's very pleased with it.
