My daughters love it.. one prefers the demo mode as likes dancing alongside it. It’s quite sweet, very soft and not too loud. I don’t think I’d pay full price but I paid £17 which is about right .

Bought this for my niece for Christmas! It was on offer for about £8.50 cheaper than you could get anywhere else. Cutest little toy. It was quite noisy and robotic sounding when walking but she loved it!

Before Christmas this Little Live Pets walking penguin was a firm favourite of our granddaughter. She’d speak about it often, watch advertisements and generally think it was the cutest of toys and a ‘must have’ on her wish list. We managed to get one much to our relief and looked forward to her opening it on Christmas Day. She was so pleased to get it, mission accomplished we thought. Fast forward 8 days…… We popped in as a quick drop off and pick up, our granddaughter grabs the penguin. I innocently say it’s really cute to which she earnestly replies (bearing in mind she’s only just seven) “it looks cute and walks well but it’s really annoying because it keeps flapping around and talking all the time” To be fair I haven’t got or read the instruction manual (It’s at their home) so I’m not sure if there’s a volume control. Hoping, for the longevity of this particular penguin that there is one. Waddles has oodles of charm but the continual chatter and bursts of singing are irritating a seven year old. What chance does an adult have of staying sane if more than one toy makes lots of noise? I suspect the disappearing battery munching monster might be making a house visit very soon which unfortunately will turn this cute walking/singing penguin into a stationary/silent one. I must admit I’d be sad if that happens but I’m probably into my second childhood by now. Who knows!
