OK for the price
Works OK and picture quality OK. Easy to connect to WiFi which then gives you plenty of channels, if that's what you want. My complaint is regarding the subtitles button. Pressing it opens up a list of nine other functions so you have to scroll down to item 10 to reach subtitle on/off and then scroll right to select exit. By which time you're missing what you were watching. Ridiculous, Samsung! Just move it to the top or better still give it a dedicated button of its own.

Excellent purchase from Argos.
Excellent TV. The UHD resolution gives a very sharp and clear picture. The sound is fine with a comprehensive selection of Apps. Connectivity is fine with 3 HDMI sockets. Very good price (especially after I used all of my Nectar point in conjunction with the £10 discount). Very happy.

Bought this on offer about a month ago. Replaced the exact same model of tv I had but a 43”. Always bought Samsung TVs great value for money. Crisp picture and great sound. Great for films and gaming. Easily connected to WiFi and sound bars for great use on the smart things app. Would highly recommend.

Brightness letdown
This TV struggles on brightness.We have it turned right up but still appears dark to our old TV samsung.

Highly suitable Samsung TV.
Decent TV at the price. Connection easy to SKY Q . On start up it takes longer to engage SKY, probably 30 seconds, but would think it quicker without. Picture is fine and no issues with sound. Would I buy again? Certainly and no problems with Argos in order or delivery. Tend towards Argos when buying larger household items and fully recommend them . Thought of giving five stars and four and one half certainly fair. This Samsung TV is a safe and sound purchase. Being a smart TV it has every access required. A further plus lies in the sensible size legs on which it stands. Go for it as unlikely to regret it.

Yes, you can simply plug a standard coaxial aerial lead directly into the Samsung UE43U8000FK and receive Freeview TV.
The TV is equipped with a built-in digital tuner (DVB-T2/C) designed for this purpose.
Steps to set up Freeview:
Connect the Cable: Plug your coaxial cable from your rooftop or indoor aerial into the port labelled "Antenna In" or "RF In" on the back of the TV.
Scan for Channels: Power on the TV and navigate to the settings menu to perform an Auto Tuning (or Auto Program) scan.

- Record a current or upcoming programme using a USB device instead of a video recorder. This function may not be supported depending on the model or geographical area.
- Connect a USB device to use the TV's recording features. Carefully read all related precautions before using a recording feature. For more information, refer to "Before Using the Recording and Timeshift Functions".
- You can record only the programmes that are received through an antenna. The appears next to the programmes and channels scheduled for recording.
