Beginner Friendly
So far this machine has been up to expectations sewing wise. Carry case, storage and extension table not quite what was expected and some of the feet don't look very sturdy, but looks can be deceiving

Great features
Purchased this Brother machine and absolutely love it. The various stitches are just what I was looking for. The letters are also a really good feature but remember to turn the material as it stitches on a side. The table is great and the best feature for me is the start stop button and needle release, love it. Definitely would recommend and you will not be disappointed, go on treat yourself.

Easy to Master
I've had my old machine for 40 years but it doesn't like quilting. The new machine works really well with multiple thicknesses. It's easy to master the bobbin winding, insertion and general sewing. I haven't used it for the embroidery yet. Having a wider table is really helpful with large items. It's very quiet compared to my old machine and probably half the weight. That said alot of the fittings are flimsy plastic where they would previoysly have been more robust, in either metal or a thicker plastic. The reverse stitch isn't as good either. It seems to overstitch only the first stitch, whereas I had control over how many I wanted to over sew on my old machine. The instructions are very good. I've no way of playing the disc. I prefer to use the foot control for quilting. It is responsive and easy to control the speed using the speed dial.

Love my machine
I bought this less than a month ago as my first ever sewing machine. I have never sewed before but knew I want to make a variety of things. This machine has allowed me to embroider SOO easily , I have sewed a bag , scrunchies and even a buttonhole! I have quilted a small piece of fabric it’s just fantastic. I absolutely love it!

Excellent sewing machine
After 45 years owning a Toyota machine I purchased this Brother model on the recommendation of a friend. Am delighted with it. Easy to use now I have practised the basics, eg threading, bobbin winding, use of digital settings. Instruction booklet helpful and I dip into when I have a query. Watched set up video with my partner and between us worked out how the automatic threading of needle works - great feature! Have completed traditional sewing tasks and am practising new silks of freehand machine embroidery. Very light to move around although I have bought a carry badge for it and made a fleece bag to protect the side table

"You can attach many different feet to the FS100WT sewing machine. Unfortunately it is not possible to attach the Brother ruffler foot. You can attach the Brother gathering foot though. Gathering foot part number – F012".

When you select a setting - stitch type, length, character, etc. the selection will be stored in the memory even if you turn off the machine. Full instructions can be found in Operation Manual.
