This is a brilliant all round little fan. It's good for a small to medium sized room in our house, not too noisly on low and can easily be carried around.

It is 1.7m. I am not sure how a photo would help Fred, or why you feel the lack of one means they are lying! The product details say 1.7m power cord. I have just measured the cord and it is indeed 1.7m long.
They have not given a photo of the length and after seeing it in person it is not 1.7 metres long, its closer to 1 metres, if they are not willing to share a photo it means they are lying

The cable is 1.7m, as Argos claim. The product details say 1.7m power cord. I collected one of these fans this morning and have just measured the power cord. It is indeed 1.7m long.
You will need an extension cable because the cable length is not 1.7M like Argos claim, its closer to 1M
