Flymo’ing and whizzing effortlessly
Wow!! This has been a total game changer to the tedious and often frustratingly painstaking task of cutting the lawn. I would often find myself putting this horrendous task off until the last minute, my trusted corded lawn mower did the task but it was not often a bumpy and rugged experience. I didn’t even think about upgrading as my current corded electric lawn mower worked perfectly or so I thought. The flymo ultra mow duo had literally left me in complete awe and so childishly excited for next go… So to begin with, out of the box it comes pretty much fully assembled minus the handle bar and grass collector. The instructions were a little difficult at first compared to quick manuals that usually come with it but after a little while longer I had managed to take out the screws in the handle and attached this a grin knowing that it was almost ready. Now charging as with everything will now need to be done well in advance, the flap at the front opens and the battery units are spring clicked into place. The address safety features are phenomenal especially if you have kiddies and pets to protect. The unit needs to be manually switched on in the battery unit and the safety button activated before the handle unlocks and unit powers on! The mower is surprisingly in comparison to my old one - significantly quieter and a softer mowing sound makes it a much more gentle experience. It churns through the long blades of grass like butter through hot toast, a beautiful and satisfying trip leaving behind an exemplary trimmed lawn. Oh, what an experience. This is really needs to be tried to be appreciated - it is really worth everything. When life is hard enough and chores are sky high, why should mowing be something not to be looked forward to!!! To top everything off, my gosh how compactly and easily does this fold and it even stands upright!! The handle bar offers adjustable height so comfort and ease has really been implemented into this hidden beast! The huge rear wheels makes the lawn feels surprising flat and glides over like a patio. Everything is literally perfect! No more long corded wires to hop over and swing around, but an amazingly modern and handsome cordless lawn mower. The matte black finish is sophisticated and offers elegance to my new garden obsession! This is my show off piece that I now display with pride…a lot of envious glances have been noted from neighbouring eyes and the compliments to lawn are neverending. This machine is now the reason why I love to maintain my lawn and the lawn which I had previously dreaded to tend to. The grass collector bag is a good size and collects my entire medium sized lawn without needing emptying. It also allows no bag to be attached, should I want to add mulching in! Edge to edge cutting is surprisingly good too and seems to get close enough to the edge without needing a strimmer! This has honestly been a total mind blower for me as I did not expect such a classy cordless mower that would make my most dreaded chore so luxurious - a harmonious experience with the warm sun beating down on - this is what summer is about! A gorgeous lawn that I can now do weekly and actually enjoy!

Great lawnmower
This lawnmower is amazing. It was easy to assemble as it had clear instruction on how to put it together. The batteries charged fast, and the lawnmower is lightweigh and easy to maneuver. The grass collection is amazing and it s easy to clean the machine and fold it for storage once you finish mowing the lawn. It s an amazing lawnmower and it is very useful tool to have for your garden

Surprisingly good lawn mower
I wasn’t expecting this Flymo cordless lawn mower to be this good having previously been using a petrol lawn mower but I was pretty shocked at just how good it was. To start with it comes boxed with very little building required, the carry handle and a guide piece for the grass collection box need attaching, you then need to remove the screws from the foldable and height adjustable handle, extend and then re fit the screws. Make sure you read the part in the instructions telling you to extend the handle before lifting in to place otherwise it doesn’t lift up. I love the fact that the handle height can be adjusted as it makes it easier for anyone to use. The 2 included batteries needed charging before first use, this model is the 2.5Ah version and I managed to mow our lawn in just under 15 minutes and only used 1 bar of the 3 battery bars so I reckon I could easily get 2 decent cuts out of it, charging them both with the included charger took around 90 minutes. Inside the battery compartment is a safety cut off switch that needs turning to start the mower which is pretty quiet compared to some. Using the mower is an absolute breeze, it simply glides over our lawn, and our lawn is uneven, lumpy, with divots in from the dog digging and has its fair share of weeds and moss but the twin blades giving a large 46cm cutting size handled it effortlessly but there is a power boost mode if needed, the large wheels on the back and lightweight manoeuvrability made it a joy to use, even my partner has cut the lawn, and she doesn’t go anywhere near the petrol one! Adjusting the height is easily done by the push of a button and can be adjusted from 2.5cm up to 6.5cm, and emptying the grass box is also easy as it’s very light. The mower can then be folded up into an upright position taking up a lot less room in the shed. Overall I can truly say I’m converted and the petrol mower is no longer needed! The only caveat I have is that I would class my lawn as a small to medium lawn so you would need to take this into consideration, I would have preferred the batteries to have been 4.0Ah, but not an issue for me. I would have no hesitation in recommending what is very good quality well built cordless lawn mower.

High quality and battery life was on point. Great
My favourite lawn mower to date. I have a long garden that requires a very long extension lead to mow. This cordless mower was amazing. No wires no fuss! Unsure of how long the batteries would last but we mowed the whole garden and walked around for a further 20 minutes and the battery level didn’t even drop a bar. Took 5 minutes to assemble with very simple and clear instructions. I was surprised at how light weight the mower was. Our old one was very heavy to push but this one glided. The look of the mower is very stylish and nice to look at. Removable grass collector is easy to use. The design and quality is very high spec and that is very noticeable. Brilliant product and will save a lot of time in the summer mowing the lawn.

Good but not Great.
So after unpacking I found it relatively easy to assemble though the instructions were somewhat confusing. And once assembled it looks the business. Battery charging has to be done one at a time. It took around 90mins to do both which isn’t too bad. I placed the batteries in and pushed it to the door. Wheeling on a hard surface is a doddle. Upon lifting it out the door I found it surprisingly heavier than expected. Heavier than my mains hover of the same brand. Adjusting the height is dead easy. It’s a matter of pressing a button and either pushing down or letting go to raise or lower the cutting height. And the same with the handle. Press a button to release and pull up. It also has height adjustment of the handle which is a case of two quick release clips. To start the mower it has an on off switch in the battery compartment and a secondary power switch on the handle to prevent accidental start ups. Initially I set it to a short setting and the grass was around 4 inches and it immediately jammed up the blades and stopped. I found I had to start at a higher cut setting and work my way down in increments till I reached the desired height. My garden is a little uneven in places and this is where I struggled. Both pushing and getting it to cut. On the level areas it was much easier and required much less effort. But the uneven bits I had to make multiple passes. I found I had to use the power boost setting around 50 percent of the time to make it cut better. Manoeuvring was straight forward tilt back and turn for the corners. And it cut nice and close to the edges. Grass collection was excellent. I was surprised how much it held. Battery life was very good. I finished the front garden with about a third of the battery power remaining. It was very straightforward to clean and folds up nicely for storage. Overall a decent mover if you have that perfect level lawn. But not as good if you have uneven surfaces, but will still manage with a bit more effort.
