Customers Say
The Einhell garden shredder is easy to assemble, lightweight, and effective for branches up to 4.5cm diameter. It produces fine mulch, is good value for money, but can jam if overloaded and is not suited for very thick branches.

THE BEST SHREDDAR
I have a large garden surrounded by hedges on all side which often leaves me with surplus hedge cuttings, twigs from old trees etc. Over time, I've accumulated several ton bags full which are fairly unsightly. With summer fast approaching, I looked into hiring a shredder to get my garden summer ready. I was agast when I found out how much it cost to hire a garden shredder, and most companies had stipulations which made me hesitant to hire one. With a budget of less than £100, I stumbled upon this small domestic machine online. The reviews seemed to good to be true but I decided to risk it. I'm so genuinely glad I did. What value for money. It was super easy to set up with minimal idiot proof assembly. It was light enough for me to easily manoeuvre around the garden so I got straight to work. It came with a little garden bag to collect the shreddings which was easy to hook on. I was seriously impressed with how easy it was to use and how quickly and consistently it made light work of my branches and turned them into fairly fine great quality mulch. My old eyesore cuttings have now been turned into useful mulch to surpress the weeds in my garden beds. While it recommends branches of less than 4.5cm, most of my off cuts were less than that anyway anyway and it did a fantastic job. I'm so glad I bought it. Even if it just gets me through the bags I've already accumulated I will be happy. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a decent quality budget shredder.

Surprisingly good performance
Bought with the intention of reducing pruning volumes (fed up with overfilling my garden waste bin). Went for the cheaper end of the market but was really happy with the performance , easy to use and with a much better level of reduction than I was expecting........so good that I ended up using it as a mulch rather than binning it.

Very effective at a great price! Very pleased!
Bought this a few weeks ago to help clear up garden clippings and tree branches having had a major spring sort out. Brilliant little machine chewed through so much of my debris and reduced them to unexpectedly small piles of chips which we scattered around the garden. Dealt with most types of wood and twigs up to the max diameter stated but it is worth trimming or flattening side branches before getting them in and then using the provided tool to push them through each time to make sure it doesn't get clogged up. Replaced the clippings bag almost immediately with a large supermarket bag which was perfect. Stopped every 30 min or so to give it a chance to cool down and also opened the access plate to scrape out any waste. Used extensively over two or three days back to back and did a great job. Very happy. Only design flaw is the power switch feels a bit fiddly when you have big gloves on for gardening etc. A big red emergency stop button on the top might be a useful extra?

Light and Fast
As with all Einhell products we own, the shredder is really well built. It was so easy to put stabiliser and wheels on so it was in operation immediately. It’s lightweight and manoeuverable, and shredded all branches we offered into small pieces as we wanted for mulching shrubs. My wife operated it wearing gloves and protective glasses and felt safe during the rapid shredding process and said this was proper shredding compared to the machine we bought it to replace which made most branches offered like Toblerone bars! The speed and efficiency of shredding maximises the capacity. It reduces time needed for a job.

Simple but effective
This machine is basic but has been great so far. It was really easy to put together. It’s also very light to wheel around and not too-heavy. You have to be careful not to cram too much in or it jams but that’s true of all the shredders I’ve had. So , yes I recommend it.
