Great piece of garden equipment
A great good product, easy to use, easy to live about and chops garden matter into really fine pieces.

Shredder
I found this shredder to be noisy and you need to sharpen the blades often but still good product for the money

Does the Job
More than capable for the average garden and gardener, munched through a large 25+ year old Viburnum bush with no trouble, Machine is quiet, Light and easy to move around if required, don't expect to put logs through it but does cope well with branches around 2.5-3cm in diameter, And the power lead is not 10 meters long!

Excellent purchase
Purchased this 2 days ago and just used today. Easy to assemble. It is easy to move around the garden as long as you have long extension lead. It has a good blade which shreads really well and consistently. Would recommend.

Great mulcher
I bought this last week, it’s certainly good at mulching all my hedges, it does however get a little blocked after a while & we’ve had to open it & scrape the chopped up leaves/branches out a few times. Does a great job though.

Useful in some circumstances, but limited
It's OK up to a point. It copes well with long straight branches but struggles with side shoots or too many leaves, requiring frequent use of the "pusher". For branches with a lot of side shoots it is necessary to cut these off with secateurs to feed through. It is also VERY noisy. So overall I'm not sure that it saves much time overall compared to cutting items up into small lengths by hand for disposal.

Great shredder
Used once and found it shreds very well. Easy to assemble and not as loud as I thought it would be.

Avoid
No good avoid only good for very small leaves doesn’t take 40 mm branches be lucky if it takes 10-20 mm lasted 1 day and took back next day load of rubbish

Used this for the first time this weekend and it was brilliant, got rid of a pile of branches easily, even thick ones about 40mm in diameter

Hi Helen,
Thank you for your query regarding the item Einhell 28cm Electric Impact Shredder - 2500W
Yes, it can handle branches of trees or hedges, leaves, and other garden waste.
So long 1cm ivy strands with leaves should be suitable, as long as the woody parts stay within the 40mm branch limit.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for your query about the Einhell 28cm Electric Impact Shredder - 2500W.
This shreds branches up to 40mm in diameter. If the leylandii branches are smaller than that, it would be OK to shred them in this.
Thanks for using Q&A.
