Different from Picture
I needed a 2m length cable, so I bought things because in the picture the plug has screws so I thought it be easy to shorten. However the plug is moulded and sealed, so had to go buy another plug head. Works fine, just annoying when the pictured item isn't what you get.

As long as you don't overload the lead (max power capacity 13A, 3,120W / 3.12kW) and the socket is kept safe from water (as it's _not_ proof against this) then it should be alright.

Current regulations require that any socket to be used with an EV Charger must be tested to a higher standard and marked as such (either with "Suitable for Electric Vehicle charging" or as BS 1363-2/EV or BS 1363/EV), we are not aware of any extension lead which complies with this requirement.
