Current regulations require that any socket to be used with an EV Charger must be tested to a higher standard and marked as such (either with "Suitable for Electric Vehicle charging" or as BS 1363-2/EV or BS 1363/EV), we are not aware of any extension lead which complies with this requirement.

As long as you don't overload the lead (max power capacity 13A, 3,120W / 3.12kW) and the socket is kept safe from mechanical damage (such as a washer or dryer `jumping' on it during a spin cycle) then there shouldn't be any problems.
