Good small slow cooker
Brought this slow cooker to use instead of the big one I have as do not want to always do big meals these days with the family moving out. What a great little pot, heated up quick and cooked very well

Surprised how well it works
Quite surprised how well it works to be honest. I'm not a fan of slow cookers bit malnly only purchased to avoid the microwave queue at work and to have soups, chilli con corne, tinned curries etc well thats the sort of things I've tried so far. If i put it on the warm setting at 8am with a tin of soup or anything like that then at 12 its done for dinner and i stir it once if i think to it and i remove the ceramic pot from the cooker leave it 5 mins to make it easier to catry then i take it to a table and just eat directly from it with some bread etc or with the case of the canned chilli from Asda I used a dish plate and have tortilla chips like doritos. The cooker has a light to show its on unlike some cheaper ones I've seen on here or Amazon and i have the cookworks air fryer which I'm hapoy with for the price so thought the slow cooker would be acceptable too. Its early days to see how well the cooker is over time and I'll plan to use it twice to three times per week, the lid does seem to make a little cracking sound so not sure if this is under some pressure it shouldn't be make advice would be to loosen the knob screw in case this is too tight on the glass but thats just my observation and its not broke or anything and could be related to normal heat movement.

Great quality
This is a godsend for me, preparing my meals and cooking it whilst out for the day is great as once I'm home I know that the food is ready for me. As I live alone I can have meals without waste.

Hello Lincatseyes,
I can advise the following for the Cookworks 1.5L Compact Slow Cooker - Black:
Apologies, no, this is manually controlled.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello Ginty.
Yes, you can cook mince in the Cookworks 1.5L Compact Slow Cooker. The slow cooker is designed to be hands-off, allowing you to cook your mince while you’re busy with other tasks. The low heat and moisture of a slow cooker break down the connective tissues in mince, resulting in tender, fall-apart texture.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Argos slow cooker,

Any smells from cooking would depend on what you are cooking and if strong herbs/spices are used and if the lid is lifted off.

Hello,
For the 1.5L Compact Slow Cooker - Black, you can top this up with water. It has a total volume of 1.5 litres. Do not fill liquids to the brim of the bowl; leave a minimum of 1cm between the rim where the lid sits and the top of the liquid. The maximum quantity / volume of food / liquid that should be used in this slow cooker is 1.2 litres.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Lazysusan,
The supplier has advised the Cookworks 1.5L Compact Slow Cooker - Black can not be used to make yogurt.
Thank you for using Q&A.
I have not tried this and am not sure that all slow cookers are the same in respect of making yogurt. However if it is just for warming the milk I don't see why not.
Thank you Justine!
My question was a bit dishonest, but i did want to use it to soak soiled work clothing.
This one is maybe to small for my needs, but for the price I cant go far wrong as long as I dont overfill it .
Hi Dean,
It would not be recommended to use the Cookworks 1.5L Compact Slow Cooker - Black in this way, as it has not been designed for this. I can only recommend the slow cooker be used exactly as instructed in the manual so as not to invalidate the guarantee, or cause damage to the slow cooker or your items.
Thanks for using Q&A,
