Cat carrier
This carrier measured higher than mine but it is smaller every which way as it also tapers at the sides so much less space and the height must of included the handle. Also fiddly to put together returned.

Good product
Good product does what it needs to. Simple enough to use straight away. The top opening is a game changer making it so much easier to get cat into the carrier. The only downfall is the screws as once they are in you cant open it in half, without fiddling to get them out again, for cleaning etc.

Top opening too small
This is too small to get even a small cat via the top opening. It would be fine for a kitten though. Sesems sturdy other than that

Thanks for your query about the Top Loading Pet Carrier - Medium.
The screws are there to attach and hold the top and bottom sections together. You fit them by putting the screw in from the top (on the top section) and the nut at the bottom (on the bottom section). There's 4 holes on both sections into which they're supposed to fit. They should then just screw together. You'd need a Philips head screwdriver for this.
The ones you have should be long enough to serve the intended purpose but, without seeing the specific ones you have, I cannot give an exact answer on that. It would depend on the age and size of the puppy. The Top Loading Pet Carrier - Medium is suitable for small to medium sized cats, small dogs and other small animals so providing the puppy is similar to these sizes it should be acceptable to use.

Depends on his size if he is smaller than average cat which he probably is then yes. We use it from everything from ferrets, rescue wild birds and an assortment of parrots it’s very good

Ok if the yorkie a small one, personally I would get the next size and prefer the other carrier that is grey & blue
