The hand mixer was of poor build quality, and would not release the whisks without pressing the release button and pulling the whisks out. Thus it has been returned to supplier

Great basic hand mixer. Does the job. Easy to clean, three speeds, used plenty of times now and had no issues, works consistently. Looks very 'no frills' so not the prettiest or most ergonomic on the kitchen side but that isn't what you expect for this bargain price. No additional attachments other than the basic but that's all I needed. Great. Fab. Exactly what I needed. Attachments.

Assuming you mean on the base - the part nearest you in use - no, and its a bit maddening thats the design. It needs to ret on the beaters of placed that way.
