About this product
The Hisense GM642XHS Gas Hob offers instant heat control with automatic ignition and responsive flame adjustment. It's ideal for precision cooking from gentle simmers to rapid boiling. Four cooking zones deliver up to 7.5kw, letting you handle multiple pots, whether a quick stir-fry or a full roast. Side-mounted dials let you ignite and adjust the flame with one hand. Press and turn to your chosen level. The brushed stainless steel finish resists marks, while the streamlined drip tray makes wiping down after cooking easy.
Enamel pan supports offer solid stability when you're shifting heavy pans around, and they lift out easily when you need to tackle spills properly. Gas cools down fast once you turn it off, adding a bit of extra reassurance in busy households with little ones around. It fits a standard aperture and requires hardwiring into its own circuit. The hob is suitable for LPG conversion, though the adaptor kit isn't included, and comes with a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Don't buy this hob
I had this hob fitted in October 2025. It is now mid December. It looks like it has been used for years. I take good care of my appliances. I am so disappointed with this. The gas is not that fast especially the front ring. And the steel part and grills are scratched and worn. Awful. I really regret this purchase.

I had the hob fitted a week ago by a gas safe engineer. The product seems of good quality, and looks good. It also cooks efficiently, and always light's first time. So far so good.

Scratchy hob
I was very happy with my purchase initially and it looked good in my new kitchen. I always look after my appliances for a very long time. However after using the hob for 2 weeks scratches have appeared on the silver part and on the grills. I am very Disappointed. I haven't done any heavy cooking . I also use soft sponge and cloth.

No remedial work is done by installers (this would include new/changes to plumbing/wiring etc.)
The installer will advise you if there are reasons for the installation not going ahead. If any remedial work is needed it will be down to yourself to arrange for this to be done by a qualified tradesperson, once completed the installation can be rebooked in.
The installer will fail the delivery off, take the item back and then you will need to contact us to arrange the new installation date once the works have been completed.
You will be sent a survey to help make the installation run smoothly along with some information videos.
