About this product
Collecting rainwater for your garden? The Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit holds 150 l in a durable polypropylene container. It's made from recycled material and is fully recyclable when you're done. The three piece interlocking stand comes with plastic link clips that secure everything together. You'll find all holes pre-drilled so attaching components takes minutes not hours. The kit includes a tap, diverter and t-piece for connecting to your downpipe. It's a practical solution for watering plants during dry spells.
The stand keeps the butt elevated so you'll fit watering cans underneath the tap easily. You won't struggle with assembly thanks to the pre-drilled attachment points. It comes complete with a flexible hose, t-piece caps and all necessary fittings. The interlocking stand design provides stable support when the butt is full. Plastic link clips hold the stand sections firmly in position. This rainwater collection system means you'll reduce mains water use in your garden.

Needs a better stand
I think the stand is too flimsy. The first lot if rain we had , the water butt filled up then fell over and the lid broke. Only had it for one day. I think a more substantial stand is required.

Absolutely fine
It's a waterbutt so there's only so much I can say, the base is easy to assemble and gives good stability even on chippings. Good flow out the tap too. The provided drainpipe diverter kit is useful and the Flexi pipe was very handily the correct size for my greenhouse gutter, and a dob of silicone keeps things in place. The only issue I have is that the lid is very hard to remove to check on capacity but it's a minor issue that's easily resolved by snipping the catches off. All in all

Good but need rain!
Delivery was good. Clear instructions and setting them up (two water butts) to the downpipes went well. Just need some rain!!

Well designed and clever 'flat pack' base. Inexplicably the base is black but the butt is green. Easy to assemble.

Not Fit for Purpose and Potentially Dangerous.
Not fit for purpose and potentially dangerous. I assumed the bad reviews mentioning these buckling were due to poor installation. Well I spent a few hours installing this properly on a flat level surface. Seemed fine until the recent rain. As soon as it's filled up, it's buckled over to one side. Don't waste your time and money. If a kid or an elderly person was near one of these when it collapsed, it's150kg of weight falling on them. Should be removed from sale.

Avoid
I bought this and it broke within 2 months of buying. Bad quality, unstable - I’ve never had a problem with a water butt before and was surprised one could be so fragile! Very unimpressed and would not recommend. Because it was outside 30 days since purchased, argos wouldn’t consider a refund/replacement.

Uncertain
Fairly simple to install, capacity adequate for the location. Durability uncertain because, despite a solid level base, the barrel tends to lean sideways the more it fills. So for now stability is uncertain as there hasn't been enough rain to fill it.

Hello PT7.
Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit - 150L:
To use this water butt, your shed will need both guttering and a downpipe. The kit includes everything else you need: a stand with 3 plastic clips to secure it, a diverter that connects to your downpipe to collect rainwater, a T-piece with 2 caps, a tap, and a flexible hose.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Simon,
Our supplier has advised that once the Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit - 150L is full the diverter will not divert any more rainwater into the waterbutt and will continue to then run down the drainpipe. There is no need to amend anything with the waterbutt itself.
Thank you for using Q&A

Hi There,
Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit - 150L
Having checked I an see there is no fitting supplied to connect your hose pipe however you can purchase a connecter online.
Thanks for using Q&A.
I have just done this. On the lid there is a template markings for a square and a round hole. I very easily cut the square out with a stanley knife. The predrilled hole on the side comes with connectors enabling you to seal it shut. I am going to get a long hose to connect either to another butt or to an overflow hose.
Hello There.
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit - 150L
Other than the pre-drilled hole for the diverter kit in the top section of the waterbutt, there are no further pre-drilled holes.
The pre-drilled hole in the top section could be plugged using the ‘T’ piece and the caps that are provided.
Thank you for using Q & A.
There is no cut out in thr lid but the handle could be removed to make room.
I also think there would be room to make a cut out either side of the handle.
The predrilled hole for the normal water inlet could then be used as the overflow usind the included fitting.
