About this product
Collecting rainwater for your garden? The Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit holds 150 l in a durable polypropylene container. It's made from recycled material and is fully recyclable when you're done. The three piece interlocking stand comes with plastic link clips that secure everything together. You'll find all holes pre-drilled so attaching components takes minutes not hours. The kit includes a tap, diverter and t-piece for connecting to your downpipe. It's a practical solution for watering plants during dry spells.
The stand keeps the butt elevated so you'll fit watering cans underneath the tap easily. You won't struggle with assembly thanks to the pre-drilled attachment points. It comes complete with a flexible hose, t-piece caps and all necessary fittings. The interlocking stand design provides stable support when the butt is full. Plastic link clips hold the stand sections firmly in position. This rainwater collection system means you'll reduce mains water use in your garden.
Stand, 3x plastic link clips (to secure stand together) diverter, T-piece and 2x T piece caps, tap and flexible hose.

Customers Say
Easy to install and good size; sturdy plastic but tap leaks common and some barrels lean or collapse when full. Customer service responsive with tap replacements. Overall good value but stability and tap quality are concerns.

Uncertain
Fairly simple to install, capacity adequate for the location. Durability uncertain because, despite a solid level base, the barrel tends to lean sideways the more it fills. So for now stability is uncertain as there hasn't been enough rain to fill it.

saving water
This is an excellent product very easy to set up, at the moment I am transferring the water collected to other water butts around my veg garden, should have bought one years ago.

Holds water
Does exactly what it says in the description. Perfect size to fit on the small gap I had available. Can be used as both a down pipe capture or a direct feed through the top. Happy.

Pleased with this purchase
I’m now very pleased with this purchase despite the original tap leaking constantly. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent a replacement tap ( the non leak type) within 3 days. This is excellent customer service.

Pleased with product
I purchased this a month ago, and since then there has been insufficient rain to test it. Southeast water had reported no rain for 5days and were considering a further hosepipe ban!!!! Easy to fit but cutting the down pipe was a little tricky. The lid fitting is awkward and not easy to remove and refit with elderly hands! A screw fitting might be preferable. Capacity relative to footprint is good. Appears sturdy and reasonably well constructed. Overall very pleased with product. Just need some rain!

Hello PT7.
Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit - 150L:
To use this water butt, your shed will need both guttering and a downpipe. The kit includes everything else you need: a stand with 3 plastic clips to secure it, a diverter that connects to your downpipe to collect rainwater, a T-piece with 2 caps, a tap, and a flexible hose.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello Simon,
Our supplier has advised that once the Whitefurze Water Butt and Kit - 150L is full the diverter will not divert any more rainwater into the waterbutt and will continue to then run down the drainpipe. There is no need to amend anything with the waterbutt itself.
Thank you for using Q&A

Other than the pre-drilled hole for the diverter kit in the top section of the waterbutt, there are no further pre-drilled holes.
The pre-drilled hole in the top section could be plugged using the ‘T’ piece and the caps that are provided.
Thank you for using Q & A.
There is no cut out in thr lid but the handle could be removed to make room.
I also think there would be room to make a cut out either side of the handle.
The predrilled hole for the normal water inlet could then be used as the overflow usind the included fitting.
