Customers Say
This air conditioner is effective in cooling rooms during heatwaves, but some users find it loud and less powerful than expected. A window kit is often required for optimal performance.

Great air conditioning unit!
Always talk about purchasing one when it’s really not needed…then it’s needed!! This was the only available item in stock at my local store when we were all melting from the latest heatwave. Slightly more expensive than I wanted to spend, but so glad to have been able to purchase given the discomfort in the heat. Not the quietest unit, so can’t leave on at night, but definitely cools the place down during the day before going to bed.

Rubbish waste
Waste of money! Doesn’t make the room cold at all, better with a fan!

Great little aircon
Bought it during a heat wave. Stick it on an hour before bed and it cools the bedroom right down. The remote seems to do its own thing and things beep sometimes as if it’s done something but nothing happens. However after doing it again it always works. Bit pricey but generally happy with it.

Great air conditioner, but read the manual!
I'm really happy with this air conditioner, it's honestly saved me a lot of discomfort during the hot days in the UK recently! You do have to read the manual to get everything working correctly, but it will significantly cool down your room once you're all set up. Here are some tips - The fins at the front are manually adjusted, so adjust them to a position where you will get airflow, the position they're in when you unbox the AC will obstruct airflow - ensure you keep the doors of your room you're cooling remain closed to keep the cool air in - grab one of those hook-and-loop window kits to ensure a good seal with the exhaust hose (and actually use the hose, this type of air condition will not work if you can't exhaust the heat) - be patient, it takes a while to cool down a room - if you're using the remote, point it directly that the unit, and listen for beeps. This is super important if you need to set the "timer off" setting, as it won't turn off if the unit doesn't receive the command from the remote.

Great real air conditioning unit
Great item. It’s like a refrigerator exhaust and water exit lines. You will need the window adapter

At first wasn’t too impressed
At first wasn’t too impressed until I found that the intake air needed to be above. Then WOW High speed is just for quick fix then turn it down

Hello, from the information we have available, this Bush 5K Air Conditioner will need to be drained when the water tank is full. It will beep and display P1 to let you know. The frequency of this will depend on many factors including; location, humidity in the air and what setting you have the machine on. Thank you for using Bush Q&A.

Hello Jorgie,
The hose that is supplied with the Bush 5K Air Conditioner will need to be connect to the unit when in cool mode.
For best performance, we recommend using a window vent kit. While you can place the hose out of an open window, a proper kit helps seal the gap around the hose. This prevents warm air from re-entering the room, improves cooling efficiency, and keeps out insects and dust. Most universal window kits are adjustable and easy to install, making them a practical addition for regular use.
Thank you for using Q&A
It doesnt need a drain hose, you can drain the water out of the tank at the end of the day instead.
It does however need a vent hose to vent the hot air outside. This will be needed in all modes except for fan only.
Hello, I can advise that the coolant in this Bush 5K Air Conditioner will need to be checked if this Air Conditioner is no longer cooling. Thank you for using Bush Q & A.

Hello Mt,
The Bush 5K Air Conditioner Unlike fans, which simply circulate hot air, air conditioners extract the hot air from your room and replace it with a refreshing cool blast instead.
Portable air conditioners can be carted from bedroom to office to living room, and they can be easily packed away and stored for the winter. All PACs are vented via a duct through a window or wall – the hot air needs to go somewhere to get it out of your home. While most of them come with window kits to make them as energy-efficient as possible, they’ll really only work with sliding or sash windows. You’ll most likely have your window wide open whenever you use a PAC, so bear that in mind.
This PAC has an energy rating of A = 1.4 Kw, which equates to 0.60 Kw per hour.
