Use the display on the trigger gun to select the right pressure for the job.
A Vario lance and Dirt blaster lance simply connect to the Trigger Gun and allow you to select the right pressure for cleaning any surface.
Make light work of applying detergent with the Plug 'n' Clean system - just click in the bottle, choose your accessory, and you're good to go.

Have already had the K4 before but unfortunately somebody decided to break into our garage and help themselves. Annoyingly I’d only used it a handful of times. Unit is small enough but also has the power for multiple cleaning tasks

The supplier has advised the following for the Karcher K4 Power Control Pressure Washer - 1800W:
"The Dirt Blaster cannot be adjusted to show a "higher" setting on the gauge, but that doesn't mean it isn't working at full power.
The "Power Control" gauge on your handle is not actually a digital sensor measuring real-time water pressure. Instead, it is a transmitter that reflects the physical configuration of the lance you have attached.
1. The Vario Power Spray Lance (Round End)
This lance has an internal bypass valve. When you twist it, you are physically opening or closing the aperture.
The handle detects this mechanical resistance and updates the display to Soft, Medium, or Hard.
This is intended for sensitive surfaces like car paint or wooden fences where you need to dial the power back.
2. The Dirt Blaster (Pointed End)
The Dirt Blaster is designed for maximum impact on hard surfaces (like stone or concrete). It uses a rotating "pencil jet" to provide high cleaning efficiency.
Fixed Pressure: To achieve the rotating effect, the lance requires a specific, constant flow. Because it doesn't have the adjustable "twist" mechanism of the Vario lance, it doesn't send the same signal to the handle.
The Gauge Display: Most K4 models will default to a "Low" or "Mix" (detergent) icon on the LED display when the Dirt Blaster is attached because the lance lacks the internal "feedback" collar found on the Vario lance.
Even though the gauge says "Low," the Dirt Blaster is actually delivering the maximum mechanical force the machine can produce. It is significantly more aggressive than the "Hard" setting on the Vario lance because the water is concentrated into a single, spinning point rather than a fan."

'Many Kärcher accessories are compatible with the K4 Power Control pressure washer, especially those designed for the K2 to K7 range.
Compatibility often depends on the connection type of your older accessory. The K4 Power Control typically uses the Quick Connect system. If your previous accessories do not have this connection, you may need an adapter for seamless use with your new unit.'

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Karcher K4 Power Control Pressure Washer - 1800W: You can use your pressure washer with a bucket or a water butt as an alternative water source.
If you have a K4-K7, you can use a bucket or water butt by connecting one end of a suction hose to the water supply and the other end of the hose to the machine. The suction hose will draw the water from the water source to the machine for operation.
We would recommend the Suction Hose SH 5 as this item is suitable for all K4 to K7 devices and makes it easy to draw water from alternative sources such as water butts and barrels.
