We recently bought our new Vax and we’re so glad we did. We’ve had another well known brand but we are both really pleased we’ve switched. The fact the Vax can stand upright, the light on the front, the intelligence switching when debris is detected.. we won’t ever go back.

Great Vax , get two batteries
This replaced my 7 year old Vax, I really like this hoover, works well with lots of different attachments. I would definitely recommend two batteries for this I have an average size house and one battery isn't enough. Great service from Vax as always, I would definitely recommend.

Waste of money
We purchased this machine in October ‘25 having had vax products in the past and been very happy with them. However the HomePro Detect Pet has been a major disappointment. We have two dogs and like to vacuum every day to remove any dog hair on the floor. Even on wooden floors, this vacuum does not pick up hair and when it does, the tubes become easily blocked. The filter also blocks and we actually spend more time unblocking the hoses than vacuuming. The machine, when it does pick up any hair is very difficult to empty as any hair stays in the collection bin. We have now consigned the HomePro Detect Pet to the loft and purchased a new Henry Pet as our previous model lasted over 20 years with no issues. As it was specifically advertised as a pet friendly vacuum we have been massively disappointed with the performance.

Bought this because my late sister in law always recommended hers. She was right. It is a very good cordless vacuum, probably the best, cordless & corded, vacuum that we've ever had. The tools are useful too.

Fantastic cordless vac
I am so happy with my new vax cordless. I put off buying one for so long and wish I hadn’t. Not having the lead laying about and all the extra attachments . It’s lovely to have 2 batteries so I can just swap over when one needs charging. I suffer with 8 fractured vertabrae due to osteoporosis and find it so easy to use. Thank you vax

This would be personal choice. I can see this pet vacuum has Debris Detect technology and anti hair wrap which is not on the non pet version.
