Disapointed
I swopped from the VAX 1 and does not pick up as well and is bulky on the top. The clip to stand the machine up is a bit of plastic and I am just waiting for it to break.

Do not buy this useless product
From first use, the vacuum has been excessively noisy, not only in terms of sound but also the level of vibration it produces. As I live in a flat above another resident, this makes normal use disruptive and unreasonable. More seriously, the vacuum is not fit for purpose. It does not pick up anything larger than fine dust. Debris remains held in the attachment and is expelled back onto the floor once the machine is switched off, meaning I then have to finish cleaning with a dustpan and brush. This makes cleaning more difficult and time-consuming rather than easier. Additionally, dust and debris regularly become lodged inside the drum, and there is no reasonable way to remove this without dismantling the machine. This is not acceptable for routine use or maintenance. The “smart detection” feature further undermines usability. On the low setting, the vacuum fails to pick up debris at all. When switched to the higher setting, the machine powers off after only a few seconds, rendering it impractical to use. Do not buy this product. I regret buying it so much and am already looking at a new one - not Vax.

Light use only
Useful for day to day cleaning but unable to do the serious vacuuming. We have two dogs and although we clean the product weekly it already smells when in first use. We change and wash the filters but the doggy niff remains. Hence only three stars.

Excellent cordless vacuum cleaner
Excellent cleaner. I bought this to replace my Shark corded cleaner and the difference even after the first clean was amazing. It picked up dog hair with ease. The battery life is fine for a 3 bedroom bungalow and it’s so lightweight and easy to use.

Hopeless machine!
This machine cannot cope with hard floors, scratched my new laid oak floor, dumps any dust collected if it falls over, which it does frequently, virtually no suction when using tools, a really bad cleaner!! I have used it since August, giving it a fair try, I no longer bother, just use a brush and dust pan, it's quicker! This is the 3rd Vax product I have owned in 10 years, the first cordless upright still works although it's suction isn't great, I still use it for cleaning my sewing room. The 2nd was a corded upright which was great, good suction and performance, still works well, I gave it to my son when he moved house as he had lots of carpets, that's when I bought the HomePro, having few carpets and mainly hard floors, what a mistake, I can't understand why anyone would manufacture such a poor product!

Good hoover picks up well, only moan i gave is the storage hooks it goes on, very dangerous 3 times its fell off the hook onto me once on my husband, not a very good sturdy housing port for it, I now keep it on the floor

I bought the Vax for Christmas present so have only used it since then, it's working well BUT the bracket to hang it on the wall is rubbish and it falling out. If you have a better one please send and you can have this one back.

Not Great
We bought this hoover about a month ago after reading many reviews online etc. First impressions were that it was great, but after using it for a couple of weeks we've noticed it not as good as it was. The suction isn't great, the battery life is awful and the filter constantly blocks. We're only using it in our small house so it's not hoovering anything it shouldn't be

Excellent choice
An upgraded replacement for our old Vax, in the sale it was cheaper to buy a new machine than buy new batteries for our existing one. Machine does what it says! excellent choice

This would be personal choice. I can see this pet vacuum has Debris Detect technology and anti hair wrap which is not on the non pet version.
